"An extremely cute French restaurant hidden in popular Fitzroy. We came Thursday night a little late after getting through the traffic, and found there were only 2 guests there. Then we became the only 1 table which was near the window where I could watching through the outside~ the French wine is nice and we ordered homemade bread, figs and scallops to start. Scallops were not over grilled coming nice with the purée. For mains, we had dish of the day and confit duck legs. It is the best duck leg that I had ever had! Juicy but no duck 'smell ' at all! The sided cabbage was highlight! The dessert brûlée was nice but suggest on top was a little over burned~ never mind the whole night was nice! This is definitely a good spot for date! Bring your special one and have some nice chat!"

"What a great find so close to the MCG. My friends and I reserved our seats at the MCG and walked up to Wellington Street, East Melbourne for lunch before the game. In celebration of Bastille Day I had the French onion soup. Traditional and served by a lovely French waitress. My colleagues had a burger and a wrap. A good choice.The coffee was excellent. An expensive coffee machine and a good barista! I am looking forward to a return visit."

"Had amazing French dinner here with my daughter. We had escargot for the starter and the eye filet for the main. I had my meal paired with a beautiful red wine and my daughter with a lovely mock tail. For dessert my daughter had the eclair and I had the creme Carmel paired with port. The staff was very lovely. Best French food I have had in Melbourne."

"We really enjoyed our experience in the Bistro Guillaume. Beautiful outdoor area overlooking the river. Beautiful wine and cocktail list. Chardannay was fresh and fruity. Loved the prawn, really delicious. I also really enjoyed the lamb main dish recommended by the waitress. It was perfectly cooked and had so much taste. Partners also enjoyed his eye fillet, again was perfectly cooked. I think the French fires with him served it a bit cheap looking and could perhaps be replaced by the really delicious mash we order as an extra. For a scorching place the prices were decent and the meals were fulfilled. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for a French culinary experience."
