"Right from the booking we got authenticity with a beautiful french accent which was the best first impression and the food, champagne, service and ambience all lived up to this impression. Escargot and french onion soup for entree (caramelised flavours were delish), rabbit stew and seafood stew for mains. Superb. Perfect service. We will be back."

"We were very impressed with King 143. It is a quiet and unassuming little restaurant that is perfect for a romantic meal. The food was delicious and the service attentive but unobtrusive. The wine list was not bad with a fair selection. Very few restaurants seem to be capable of providing a romantic setting these days. They are often noisy and the waiters are rushed off their feet. This one though delivers and I would have no hesitation in returning."
