"I 'm a local and one day a tourist asked, where can we get a good salad, and I proceeded to recommend Ida Red 's,What a mistake, that I will never make again. I called to find out if they were open and a girl answered, I said that I wondered what salads were on the board, she said just come in and look at the board and hung up on me.Being a business owner myself I then called back to inform the owner how rudely I was treating, just trying to refer someone to them"

"The owners are fickle. The one who is the chef is generally nice enough. The other one is always nasty. Every time anyone calls and he answers, it is unpleasant. Rather notorious in the area for that. So much for community support. As many times as we have eaten there and tipped very generously, now we were rejected for dinner because we are not hotel guests . Even though we called a week in advance. Incredibly inhospitable and rude. Much friendlier places in town with better food and choices. Too bad this beautiful place is owned by such unfriendly people."
