"First of all , do not be put off by the exterior. Inside is one of the most welcoming restuarants you could hope to find. Not many tables , but the sight of the piano and the double bass in one corner gives an idea of sort of place you have arrived in. No music while we were there, but could imagine how the evening could turn into a good night. We had fried peppers and a prawn dish for starters and grilled dourada (fish) , mixed vegetables and potatoes cooked with the skin on. For dessert , really good chocolate cake and apple tart with an egg custard topping. Everything cooked to perfection. The house Douro wine at 8 euros a bottle was excellent value for money. We travelled from Porto on the metro which took about half an hour. Locating the restuarants was not easy from the map on Tripadvisor, but the local taxi drivers showed us the short walk from the Mercado metro stop. Go there. Enjoy the good food and really friendly owners."
