"We were friends for a Sunday dinner. this was our first visit to this restaurant in the picturesque town of issigeac. the building is old and is located in a small road from the main shopping street and you could just walk by...if you don't look for it. they had a good choice of appetizers, main dishes and whisper and a selection of crying at the bottle or carafe. the food was very nicely prepared and presented and tasted good. the service was a little slow. we had the three cure menu with a bottle of red and a small carafe white wine followed by coffee. the total bill for four of us including wine and coffee average at 31 € per person, which I considered very reasonable for what we ate. will definitely be back to visit. would definitely recommend booking as the restaurant is small."

"Peillon is a remarkable medieval village perched away quietly in the hills behind Nice. Get away from the maddening crowd for a few hours for a fabulous lunch on the terrace here at the Auberge. Great food and service. Tricky, winding road to get here may not make it the ideal place for non French drivers in the evening. Believe you can stay here too."

"We enjoyed the formule (entrée, plat, and dessert) and were happy with each of the courses. The salad was tasty, refreshing, and crowned with perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs that maintained supple yolks. The four gras was balanced with a salad and rose melange. The cassoulet of smoked haddock was filled with vegetables and had a perfectly balanced flavour. The cheese plate was enough for two people! And the poached pear was hugged with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. A delightful meal topped off with a very reasonably pierced bottle of Premier Cru champagne. Definitely recommend leaving the centre and walking to Le 17 and afterwards the walk will help you digest."

"We went looking for a former tapas place in this neighborhood. Good but not great would be our review. Highly recommend the jamon and the mixed paella. Reasonable wine choice. There was music which we largely ignored by sitting near the front window. The owner/manager seemed to be fluent only in Spanish. He became friendlier as time passed."

"The Cantine is easy to find on the rue d 'Aubervillers, a few blocks south of the urban park Jardins d 'Eole a block or two north of the Stalingrad metro station. The chalkboard menu lists two vegetarian main courses, appetizer, dessert, wine, ginger beer , coffee and other non- alcoholic beverages in a homey ground-floor setting. There are wooden tables inside, and a few cafe tables outside.The set meals are a good deal (a formule including appetizer, main dessert, or other combos such as appetizer main, or main dessert , the waitstaff is welcoming and the atmosphere is unpretentious . We arrived shortly before lunch service ended at 2:30PM, but were able to get a meal, though some some dishes were sold out. Our lentil salad platter and felafel with green salad were tasty and fresh. We didn 't feel pressured to order or eat quickly and were served promptly with a smile. Some staff are English speaking, if that 's needed. Credit cards OK. It 's a short walk to the picturesque Canal de l 'Ourcq."
