"We returned here for three days running for our breakfast... sitting people watching eating croissants and drinking coffee... whilst on a short break in Cabourg. You can tell how popular it is by the queues out of the door on a weekend. The display of...breads, cakes and other foods eg quiches, salads looked fabulous. Quick service despite being busy and we liked the automatic cash register so the staff aren't handling money while serving you food."

"We had some time to kill before the overnight ferry from Caen and rather than going for one of the many high street brasseries, we instead tracked down this fabulous local French restaurant five minutes from the centre of Cabourg. Some classic French dishes, impeccable service and a good selection of wines made for a brilliant evening. Set menus of €27 and €36 allowed for plenty of choice. The Oysters and Lobster the table next to us were having looked superb. The profiteroles and hot chocolate sauce were particularly sensational - picture below. Friendly and helpful waiters too. Just really, really good all round."

"Lunch in the morning on a Tuesday and I was very surprised how many restaurants were closed. the central brasserie was occupied by French natives. the atmosphere is great and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately, eating was quite disappointing. it can be good...that I chose the wrong things from the menu-complete, with Euro supplement for the poelee de St.Jacques I chose to start the garnel and molken en shell with mayo. the main course, with the addition of euro above, was scallops, grilled garnels on the top of the tagliatelle in a cream sauce. the sose was, I fear, tasteless and unseasonal. the red wine saumur at euro) was very good. the atmosphere is brilliant, like the service. slick and efficient. will I have gone? yes, but I would certainly choose something else!"

Le service souriant et attentionné, le chef passionné par ses produits et qui n'hésite pas à rencontrer ses clients pour raconter sa cuisine.Le Turbot était cuit à la perfection et sa divine sauce a emporté une baguette de pain fraîche et croustillante.Les menus "enfants" ne sont pas négligés et cuisinés avec la même ambition de qualité.Notre fille Alice donne 5 étoiles !!"

"But amazingly slow service.....although the waiter was nice and apologized. It is better to book ahead if you want a table outside if weather allows. The food is homemade and fresh in accordance with the prices. Despite the wait I would still go back and...enjoy the sunset!!"
