"While it appeared that the buffet was the main attraction for most people, we are always more inclined to eat off the a-la-carte menu. Granted it was a busy Thursday night before the Easter weekend, but service was a bit slow. The food was fine, and rather plentiful, there was a kids menu available, and they were happy to substitute fries with vegetable, but It was pretty noisy with a number of large groups booked in."

"This place is awesome. My family and I stopped in for a bite and walked out full happy and content. The women who work here are so nice and friendly. The woman who took my wife's order double checked with her as my wife ordered a spicy dish and does not like spicy. That saved the lunch. The bowls the broth and the noodles were so flavorful. You can even get a second portion of noodles for 1.50. It's not the fanciest decor but is very cozy. F you like noodles you would be hard pressed to find a better place at a better price."

"Muddy’s Cafe had outstanding healthy grilled mackerel, salads, and veggie breakfast offerings. Drinks and prepackaged sandwiches were also very tasty, although more expensive than at Woolworth’s, for example. We stayed for a week across the street and never really felt a pressing need to eat...elsewhere. We did investigate other cafes and restaurants in Cairns and tried some of these others as well, but found these other spots decidedly less appetizing and attractive."
