"I was a French pilot. And if French praise food, it must be quite neat. That was the case in Jin. They ordered and shared four dishes at lunch. All were fed thanks to the two large green salads we had ordered. My soup in Beijing was also very delicious. Also the red wine of the Great Wall with good taste nuances, although from love for France the second and third bottle became a Beaujolais. And the waitress, a real Chinese, increasingly came into service..."

"Wir kamen sonntags mittags zufällig vorbei und wurden ziemlich kühl an einen kleinen Wandtisch verwiesen, obwohl der von uns anvisierte Tisch nicht reserviert war und auch während unseres Aufenthalts unbesetzt blieb.Die kleine Speisekarte hat uns gut gefallen und die ausgesuchten Hauptspeisen(Burger und Ochsenbrust) waren sehr schmackhaft. Leider konnte das Dessert dieses Niveau nicht halten: Der Strudel war zu lang im Ofen, so dass die Teigenden trocken und teilweise schwarz waren. Unsere darüber geäußerte Kritik blieb ohne Resonanz. Schade!"

"On Friday night we had booked an evening tour. the guide dressed as French ordered the participants to the restaurant “Alt Hamm”. With “Honorius Hellweg” guests go to the traces of the city history in the eastern city centre: sakral buildings – profane houses – city history – anecdotes, stood in the view. because we didn't know before, we had already "trained" the way to the meeting place in the afternoon. the description we got in the tourist information “the island” was very good. the place looked very little inviting at daylight and was also completely orphaned. good, it also opens from 4 pm. the first impression is not always the right one. When we entered the beer garden of the gas house shortly before 8:00, the “Mönch” sat there and welcomed the participants who were invaded after the other (almost 20 people). With artificial light the place no longer looked so involuntary. There was even a lively driving inside. Our “Mönch” explained to us that we will arrive here at the end of the round and invite us to a beer in the inn. I don’t want to go further on this tour – except that “Honorius Hellweg” has made his thing very good and we have learned a lot about the city (and this is very short and without paying many). in numerous civic houses it was customary to bake broth and then soak in water and ferment beer. In 1444, the brewer and baker in Hamm took the commercial monopoly for beer and bread. Today, however, no more than one is done here. a trader recently acquired the name of a traditional company and – who knows – soon again a brewhouse. when we entered the gas house around 10:00, it was still robust. Our guide could bring us to one of the back guest rooms that was just empty. there was an old hammer special beer. the drink was dark, slightly sweet and settled strongly. the color almost remembers an old one. but it is probably not an obergial beer. It looked like a black beer, but wasn't as sweet as a kind. I had a very good mouth and I had another glass. in the house there are other beers from the barrel – among others also gaffel kölsch. the guide told me that you can also order good simple brewhouse dishes here. the cook prepares regional, hearty dishes: bratkartoffeln, schnitzel, barbecue pan and all kinds of small dishes such as Currywurst, Strammer max and camembert. as a guest, you will receive a “Running List” on which the food is listed until the billing. the device just inspired me. There are beautiful decoration pieces everywhere. I noticed old tiles, lamps and vases. the table groups invite you to stay. 4 return to a beer or even a backyard. (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it comes back, 4 – again happy, 5 – absolutely again – after the “Kuechenreise” date of the visit: 01.04.2016 on a city tour"
