"A really mixed experience, that fell well short of our expectations in a number of ways. Our visit with 2 young grand-children was on a Saturday evening without a reservation but we were given a nice table inside. An excellent menu was on offer and the owner, a very pleasant gentleman, offered the Children the Menu Enfant, as they preferred a Pizza, we all opted for the A la Carte and we placed our order for drinks that included a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet, which came with the usual complimentary bottle of water. We then ordered the meals, a Pizza to share for the children, Boudin Noir as a starter for myself and 6 x baked Huitres for my wife. The Pizza arrived almost immediately. Wine was opened, I was offered a taste which was fine, but then the waiter poured my wife 's wine into her water glass, from which she had been drinking water and still had water in it !! The children liked the Pizza which was fresh and tasty, whilst we waited for our Starters, which when they did arrive we were both very satisfied as they were delicious. For the main courses we had ordered Coqilles St Jacques with chorizio (myself) and Lotte with Safron (my wife) Again there was quite a delay but when they were brought to the table, all looked very nice and served with an accompanying selection of vegetables, although I had to attract the waitresses attention to obtain a knife and fork, as they had been taken away when clearing the starters plates. Immediately my wife said her fish and the sauce was cold, as though it might have been standing for a while, whereas mine was not cold, but it was on a cold plate and was just ok. But the horror was the vegetables, especially the mashed potato; not sure if it was powdered mash or real potato, but it was mixed with raw garlic, that made it unpleasant to the taste , whilst the ratouille has no taste at all!. We finished our wine which was very good, had coffee and left, but at no time except when we ordered did we feel too comfortable, it appeared as though visitors were not made nearly as welcome as locals with the Manageress. A real shame, One further point is that although menu Enfant was offered (Steak Hache with Spaghetti) it was such an enormous portion that an adult would have struggled, as indeed the young girl on the next table did."
