"We were touring Burgundy by cycle on a chilly Monday when we stopped in Savigny-les-Beaune hoping to find some lunch. This restaurant looked appealing, and the menu was very reasonable. The owner/host does everything from welcoming to cooking to bartending! Friendly and unpretentious atmosphere and...the food was delicious. Expertly done with the flair of someone who knows what they're doing in the kitchen. And very reasonably priced we were so pleased to have stopped here. Merci monsieur! As others have said, it's a cash only operation, but there is a cash point just down the road and it's hardly a big problem."

"We enjoyed a pleasant lunch of chicken in an époisses sauce followed by a selection of cheeses served pleasantly in a nice dining room. Nothing to complain about but little to be delighted about either. The place seems to lack local authenticity a fact highlighted by the 2 red wines available by the glass being a Mercurey and a Haut Côtes de Nuits.So,you will be pleasantly fed but you will not experience the charm exuded elsewhere by the vignerons of this lovely village."

"We were recommended this place by our B&B in Aloxe-Corton. It’s situated in an unlikely location on the very outskirts of Savigny, with plenty of parking. The bright, clean and very airy dining room has been decorated in a modern style by the chef/ proprietor who opened here quite recently. He’s delivering a gastronomic experience, which can extend to four, five, six or seven courses. But we opted for the cheapest €38 set menu no choice) and were not disappointed. With a couple of amuse bouches thrown in, each of the three courses was beautifully presented and precisely flavoured. Service was unhurried but discrete and very professional. You come here for a serious experience- and we felt it was remarkable value €102 with two glasses of white Santenay wine and 2 bottles of Badoit). We will repeat in future."

"Restaurant discovered tonight, recommended by the complete 428. The welcome was very pleasant, the warm and smiling service. The dishes served were delicious, well prepared. A choice of small inputs/plats/desserts, quality gage and preparation at home. We had a very good dinner at this young establishment in Savigny. Small dish: consider making the extraction of smoke/vapores/kitchen more effective to make the experiment in the room less olfactory. And that will be the fifth guarantee!"
