"Good location right by the old town gate. Dinner time, all the tables outside were occupied so we went inside. Luckily, we were able to open one of the small windows to get a bit of air movement as it was rather warm the...strong smell coming from the kitchen agh! those stinky cheeses). The decor has seen better days. The food was good I had the menu for gourmets), the wines too, but the service was a bit slack, had to ask 3 times to get a carafe of water. Certainly no wow factor here."

"We were told about this by a local lady and although not easy to find we were not disappointed. The restaurant was extremely busy but the staff were helpful as our French is limited Food was excellent and the onion tart succulent. Thank you"

"Le Stewala is a smaller restaurant that makes delicious dishes. The atmosphere is quiet and the food is excellent. We don't eat red meat, so finding restaurants in Alsace that don't have a whole red meat menu was a challenge at times. But not... here. We had a very good salmon crumbs, delicious, fresh fillet of trout, an excellent chicken Supreme and great, delicious salads. The wines were good, the prices were fair and the service was great. The prizes for Dessert? Yum."
