"Food is great but I wouldn't get a latte here. Every time it's been a disappointment. They serve hot milk, with no foam. I wouldn't even ask for a re-make because it would be the same thing. They need better training. But again very good food :)Food: 5/5"

"I think the food is good- BUT- the chef is noisy and barky at his staff; and won't change a single thing -ie: no mayo or sauce on a burger isn't possible as "it compromises" the product. I've been in the restaurant on several occasions; including watching him yell at a server until she quit on the spot. Not a relaxing experience by any means. I've given it a fair shot, dining in about a dozen times, but haven't been back since the last time because the yelling made me so tense I couldn't finish my dinner.He has creative ideas, and obviously has vision for the food, but I don't go out for brunch or dinner to come home feeling stressed."

"When I first tried, this restaurant was 6 years ago, my last time in the last month. its food quality and its selection have dramatically improved, from the typical small city Chinese restaurant offers mainly smorgasbord to one that well compared with those in the big cities. the day we had lunch was so much to do: yet the food service was fast and a la carte dish delicious. bravo."

"I was part of a large group dinner that was hosted at Thornton's in mid November. I had never eaten here before and truthfully there was a fair bit of speculation from those in the group who were more local '...it was good, then the quality went down hill, not it is under new management, I've heard it is better again....'Well Thornton's did not disappoint. They were very flexible with out large group, they were ready for us, the table setting was inviting, wine and appetizers were out, and the fantastic service carries right through dinner. The food was memorable, the best Arctic char I've had in years. Thank you Thornton's."

"The hotpot experience is quite interesting. It's a decent place to have hotpot in YK. The restaurant is well decorated and cozy. They only have 2 kinds of soup base for you to choose from and it's pretty plain. Fresh food and good service. They have a variety of dipping source for you to choose to go with your food.The downside is that the price is somehow quite expensive compared with the amount of food you have. I think it's quite high even for YK standard."
