"We loved this place so French and so perfect we were old friends who have had many happy holidays in France over the years and this experience reminded us of why we like French cuisine and French wine! The staff were lovely too and we would thoroughly recommend it."

"Well, we went for the Sunday dinner now to say the portion was small is a slight understatement.. Not to mention the tiny amount of vegetables that you have to share between 2 people. But to then have crackling missing off your meal is a bit of a disappointment to say the least. The 2 staff seemed absolutely rushed off their feet constantly, took ages for anyone to come take our order and then once our food arrived I had the tea towel dipped into my food however I didn’t mention this at the time as the waiter seemed rather on edge and pretty stressed out?? Not once we’re we asked if our food was okay, and upon payment we brought the issues up to the waiter and it felt completely dismissed. When you’re paying around £40 for a two sunday dinners two drinks you’d be expecting the service to be better quite frankly. The worst part was upon leaving, we was greeted by the waiter stood in the door with a saucer of crackling?? Which we was told to take the crackling in our bare hands as a gift from him? Absolutely baffled as to why anyone would think that would be okay? Felt rather embarrassed.. The waiter had plenty of time to rectify the small mistake, we sat afterwards having our drinks. But at the door was not the place nor the time. Rather inappropriate. Overall disappointed and won’t be returning, it used to be absolutely lovely what a shame."

"I took my omnivore mum for afternoon most recently in south causey inn. Although it was great that there was a vegan option, the quality of it was really disappointing, especially considering it costs £20. the products contained were less than the others, but I knew this when we booked, I guess it could take some more up and eat time for the vegan option. the broken mushrooms with mayo were delicious. the sandwiches (bbq jackfruit, hummus and gurke, hearty) were ok, the hummus was not very nice. pear and tweebelsalat was good. the strawberries should be dipped in chocolate, but were not and the lemon cake was not present. the baked were (fruit and banana cake) were terrible! they had a really dusty texture. I would like to think that if the kitchen staff had tried not to send them out. However, it is also possible that they have had such a low opinion of vegan food that they believed it was acceptable. unless they improve the quality of their afternoon, I would recommend vegans avoid it, especially in consideration of the price. give her use to a place that gives more time, care and interest in her vegan options/food."
