"I really don’t ever like leaving bad reviews but this time I just have to. I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my son’s first birthday. I discussed with the employee over the phone about what I wanted it to say and sent pics on the theme. We all agreed, and that was that. When the cake arrived I was already set off that the writing was not what we discussed (I wanted happy 1st birthday, and the “1st” was left out. Secondly, the writing was all crowded on one side of the cake (see pic) and just didn’t look right. Ok, I was fine overlooking that part as long as it tasted good. When we came to taste, the buttercream tasted like, well, nothing. It had no flavor, like a stick of unsalted butter. The cake part and filling was OK. I ended up throwing out what we didn't eat. I wanted this birthday to be extra special so I went to what I thought was the best bakery in town and spent $200 on a cake I could have done better myself. I can’t speak for any other item in the bakery, but I wouldn’t order a cake from them again. 2 stars for pleasant employees and the oreo mousse in the center."
