"So great to find a local place that hits all the marks. Food and service were exceptional. Fresh and not over seasoned. Atmosphere, terrific. No loud music so we could talk. Plenty of gluten friendly options, salads, soups, seafood. I couldn't have enjoyed it more."

"Wow. What a train wreck. The front of the house was completely disorganized. Lots of employees most of whom had no idea what they were doing. Several of the servers were incredibly rude, completely ignoring me when I asked for napkins (that were missing from our table). Instead, they continued to talk to each other, blatantly ignoring me. Our server, Sienna, was great. The food was great, so praise goes to the back of the house. Otherwise, this was a disaster. This spot could charge double or triple if only they started over on service."

"Awful!. I went there with a group of 5 others for dinner. It took us 15 minutes just to get drinks. The bar side was not busy but had a great jazz group playing. It took 45 minutes to get the appetizers and although the she crab soup tasted wonderful it was just barely warm. They were out of prime rib which is a personal favorite of two members of our group. After waiting 2 hours and still not being served our dinner we left. When asking our server and a manager about our food they just said it was coming and then charged us for the drinks and appetizers. This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown but I will NEVER go back!"

"The Hill Cafe is a nice place to stop in for drinks or a casual dinner date. Space is tight, so don't expect to bring all your friends, you'll be lucky to get seating for 4. The food is tasty, with many healthy options, great flavor and quality. I had a seared tuna steak sandwich there that rocked my world."

"We've been here several times and the first experience was great. Good food for a fair price. The last time we went unfortunately we were bombarded by flies that seemed to be coming in the restaurant due to their open atmosphere. This was a complete turnoff and we haven't considered going back after that. I wish that wasn't the case because the place is beautifully decorated, the service is usually good and the food is great. What a bummer.."

"One of the best restaurants in RVA. Super classic, without being suspended. The food is always delicious and worth the price, as the ducks can feed 3 people easily. Beautiful wine selection, servers are incredibly attentive, and the decor is really secret. It is super hard to get a reservation here to make sure you call far in advance! The only criticism I have is that there is a limited number of vegetarian entree dishes, maybe throwing one or two more would be nice."

"Really not good. idk what all Rave reviews were on this place. probably one of the worse Asian cuisine meals I had ever had in richmond. the tacos were so bad. had only a strong vinegar and fish sauce tasted. I ordered tamponthai to keep it safe because who can screw padthai. my nudel can, that's who. only dry and no taste. the huh and galangal were not good either. also the Thai icy was too sweet. would never come to this place again. I want to be honest."
