"We went to Colosseo for dinner tonight for my birthday and it was wonderful! The hostess quickly and efficiently checked our vaccine cards assuring us that all staff is fully vaccinated. Our wine/beer arrived in a timely manner and our pizza did as well. It...was hot and fresh. The taste was superb, the toppings more than generous. I was even given a slice of the most amazing tiramisu for my birthday. We enjoyed every minute and for sure we will be back sooner rather than later."

"The atmosphere here was somehow very covered but super-upscale at the same time. alan was our waiter and he made this a very pleasant evening (increating where to park, explain the menu, make sure our tassen were never empty, and his very happy arrangement) and even the manager visited the table to see how everything was and it was lovely. the sides are much bigger than I had expected and probably should not have been ordered with the pasta as I was too full to try more than a taste. and it was very good, I would highly recommend the roasted brunette spouts with boar bacon."

"This restaurant is located in the historic Exchange District. It is a nice cozy place, but don’t let the size fool you. Fabulous local fare that is seasonal, with a great beer and wine selection. Staff is very knowledgeable in pairing suggestions and recommendations for menu items. We had the lamb shanks, which were seasoned in an interesting combination of sesame, coriander, and pumpkin seed. Served with squash. The appetizer we had was phenomenal: roasted Brussels sprouts with fresh dill and mustard seeds with a sauce that I can’t recall, but was very good. Their house made focaccia bread to start was tasty as well. This place is perfect for a date night with a special someone. Highly recommended!"

"The highlights of our meals were the coconut shrimp and the stuffed mushrooms. The texture of the coconut is hugely present so if you aren't a fan of that be wary. I had the lobster linguine and felt the flavors were very plain. The lobster was a tad rubbery. The juices and sauce from my dish were excellent for dipping my biscuits, though! Mm. Those biscuits. Crumbly and cheesy and garlic. If not a bit dry. It's expensive for the quality (low mediocre). If I went back if probably wait until there was some deal on shrimp so I could devour all the coconut shrimp."

"I was here to talk biz with an old friend. What happened over the next 30 45 min culinarily speaking was very serendipitous. I usually try to go light for lunch. A big lunch will drag me down, causing me to fall asleep at a random red light while waiting for the light to change only to be awoken rudely by someone behind me who doesn 't share my opinion of using the middle of a busy intersection to alter my state of consciousness. So soup and salad is typical fare for me. I glanced over the menu and spotted a perennial favorite onion soup. I mentioned to my lunch mate, that I 'm always looking for the best onion soup out there, made a mental note and continued down the list. Spotted Jimmy 's Greek Salad and wondered why someone would name a salad specifically after themselves. Had to find out. Ordered the soup and Jimmy 's namesake. The waitress was wonderful and very attentive. The meal came promptly, starting with the soup. As expected, the soup came in a ceramic bowl that was baked with the onion soup inside. I 've had many different versions of this soup and while it was good, it wasn 't why I am writing this piece. It was for Jimmy 's creation. Again, there are only so many ways to make a Greek salad. The greens, the purple onions, the olives, the feta cheese and maybe some tomatoes. But its the dressing that makes or breaks this particular creation. Too much and your salad is drowning and you might as well have kept the soup spoon that came with your appetizer. Not enough and you 're craving for something to mask that not so sweet purple onion. What hit my mouth after that first forkful of Jimmy 's creation was this slightly sweet, absolutely amazing salad dressing that was sheer and utter delight. And let me tell you, I 've tasted many different Greek salads, or ones that purported to be a Greek Salad. I finished the entire bowl in record time, stopping only to comment on the salad to my lunch partner and remember that I absolutely had to write about this amazing salad when I got in front of a computer. So while my jaunt into their menu was anything but extensive, you HAVE to try Jimmy 's Greek Salad, if only to tell yourself that you too have tried the most amazing Greek salad dressing in Wiinipeg. Jimmy obviously knew it was something special when he slapped his name in front of this dish. If you 're a fan of Greek salads, you won 't be disappointed."
