"Nice atmosphere, great staff, great value for the money but food was average. Would pay for lunch again but wouldn't pay the extra for dinner. $14.99 for both lunch and brunch and that included coffee/tea, juice, slushy and pop. Went for lunch one day and brunch the next. The lunch was definitely better than brunch. The buffet was the same for both, however they added breakfast items for brunch and they were all way below average. The pancakes, waffles and french toast all tasted the same and had a weird, heavy texture. It's almost like they hand molded it all from white bread and mixed it with flavourings. I am not fussy and will ingest just about anything but I gave up on each after a few bites. They had a pasta chef on the egg station and our omelettes were burnt and our over-easy eggs were hysterical.....one hard cooked and the other broken and running all over the plate. They gave him the wrong utensils and he admitted he had never made eggs before. The best items were the beef barley soup, the make your own tacos and the cinnamon buns. I would go back for lunch but never breakfast. Breakfast was a total let down as we were expecting much better quality and selection. All floor staff were awesome and overall, a good experience."

"My husband and I went for lunch this week as they had the dumpling festival on the go. Well that was the excuse anyway. Always a wonderful experience here. Our servers Daniel NG and Lini were so much fun,..and interesting to talk to. They catered to us with great service and hospitality. We did learn that the shrimp they serve is a "dry shrimp" and not a wet shrimp which means it is not soaks in a sodium tripolyphosphate solution coming from the supplier like any you buy in a store. We suggested it be advertised as this is a good thing. So many terrific choices, so much food,..all fresh so tasty and plentiful. Can't wait to return already again."

"Small Filipino restaurant filled with popular comfort food. Palabok, Kari Kari, bbq chicken n bbq pork spits, etc. They also have deep fried shrimps pollined frit, turon (deep fried banana, still like the Turon from Canasia) , Halo Halo. Well personaled so service is fast, with many types of food. Floors are greasy, so worrying and limited seating."

"A woman with ombre braids too my order. I asked how many pieces of fried chicken were in the standard value order(3). Her responses were slow and she was not fully present and I felt as if she was almost annoyed that I was the next person in line but she answered the questions. The man before me seemed to be having problems with his order and throughout my duration in line which was approximately 3 mins, I could tell there was a dismissive tone from the cashier and she waskind of toying with him with his order in a sluggish way. When I approached the counter she was smirking in this strange way observing me up and down and plainly it was uncomfortable and I could sense the judgment in my relaxed clothing. Iopened my meal when I got home and had two small pieces of fried chicken accompanying my rice and peas. I've had poor customer service before here but I let it slide because I enjoy the food, but i felt i needed to mention this instance."

"So, I've been living in Brampton for over a decade now and I'm happy to see that Sunlight Chinese Food on Kennedy is the real deal. The food is ALWAYS fresh and made to order. They have never messed up my order and the food is always great. So If you are having a hard time deciding on which Chinese Food restaurant to choose, always go with Sunlight!! They are easily the best Chinese food in Brampton!!"
