"What a great location and wonderful diner. Bob has just transported me to another dimension in the timeless comfort of a long-term diner. If this is a time in LA, if not even a plate of pasta is regularly affordable under $20 in LA, this place offers dishes at a reasonable price and the food is well generous portions. My Hamburger was a simple classic American cheeseburger combination with frits and a salad. It wasn't the burger of my life, and exactly what I expected. Just an uncomplicated classic and good. Adding a chocolate malt milkshake was a perfect end to the meal. Oh, if you like goods, they have a good selection of teas, stickers, patches, cups and kinks that would make perfect LA souvenirs. Here I would like to take a tourist who wants a real American experience in LA."

"Haven’t been here in years, they closed for 18 months during the worst of Covid and recently just reopened. The food selection was great, their ice cream has to be scooped out instead of the usual soft served. Food is generally good but I have to mention their fried chicken…it looked big but when I bit into it, the breaded part (flour) was 50% of the thickness and the chicken itself look unappetizing Service was friendly and professional. Process is a little different here, you pay the cashier when you come in, the waiter will tape your receipt to your table, then you go get your food, they have signs to warn you against wasting food (they will charge you extra) They also charge you 10% service fee for group of 2 or more."

"Great place for salads and casual work lunch. Parking can be a little challenging though. Try to come by on off peak hours. 4 stars because a lady behind the counter dropped half the tray of pies on the floor and was “asking what to do with them” I never saw them in the trash next to her..."

"Go early on Saturday- had the place to ourselves pre'much. The roast chicken sandwich? Trust them when they say their SPICY (if you do not burn in this kind of mouth thing). The service was great and the beer was pretty good (I'm not a beer, so I'm letting this review to the experts). The eggs Benedict Pizza was delish and the hash looked amazing, but I only got a bite of potato (that was also good). I'd turn off a star because you have to order Pommes separately, but it's not that much. Great beach decoration."
