"Very nice place! The staff is pretty cool too and I'd say I loved the music but they cut when misfits started playing and changed it to some emo pop punk mix. The beers were yummy but average and had a good mix/selection that was fairly priced. The food was good for pub grub. We had a nice time as a group and I'd go back. Solid microbrasserie!"

"Our first time there. The food is fantastic. Too bad they are so far from the south shore. Very good chinese food. Delish... will surely be going back even if it's a 30 minutes drive. Worth it...."

"Excellent on the whole line! We had a great evening! atmosphere, wine, food, service and wine; Everything was A1!We took oysters in the entrance as well as the pear poached, ricotta, balsamic, hazelnuts. soft and fresh. perfect for a summer start. I took the fish of the day that was a halibut and was tasty. all deposited on a very tasteful vegetable duxel. My friend took the ravioli with mushrooms that were excellent too.The wine was also delicious. Private import. The dessert was something and you have to try it! a perfect dulce of leche, granite vodka coffee, crumble to coffee. It's really great to finally have a restaurant like this in the area. We'll be there for sure! Long life in the oregon!"

"TLDR: It's all right when it comes to an extraordinary thing. Overall, I gave this place for the first time an attempt, I ordered the griot plate (UE delivery) imho a little pricy for griot, but at least it is a generous part with a lot of meat rice. The first bite is good, but the more you eat quickly realize that this is much too salty. In Laval there is a better smell. Traditionally and in many Creole Resto the griot meat can be very clobular pieces of fat, I don't like that, so I asked for lean pieces in my order and on their credit all pieces that we were very lean, which is great, only problem was that they were a bit too dry, which can be fair with lean meat... not a problem usually because you have a generous amount of sauce over it. The sauce, OH my God, I usually pour the sauce over my griot dish, happiness that I didn't do that! The sauce is basically liquid salt! You have to add a few drops here and there else the saltiness will exaggerate everything. It felt more like a pepper sauce instead of traditional griote sauce... The Plantain banana, is, okay, not great, I understand it, but it's not easy to remove crispy plantain on, and some people like it a bit muddy like that, but I prefer thinner cuts for Craspier planttains... I found another restaurant that really makes good plantains, although this is a problem with all the creoles I have tried so far. The macaroni side dish is just a useless distraction imho, I don't know why many creole place like to add this as a page, it is always mediocrely best, simply not necessary. I understand restaurants like adding a bit extra salt to improve flavors, but this is ridiculous... Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's a mistake like other people also commented on how the food is too salty. This is regrettable if you had really griot before, you know that this dish is already deliciously full of taste, you really don't need this much salt. Too bad."

"Very disappointing yet again. Post covid we tried rubs take out and in house. Both servings were dry and terribly small portions. It simply was lacking taste. So we waited a few months and tried again. This will be our last time. We went on a quiet Friday 4 pm. A beautiful hot sunny day. Couldn’t sit outdoors at the st-rose location. Strike one. All i wanted was the beef rib that they don’t have on the menu anymore even if still advertised. Strike 2. We had the brisket and ribs. My brisket was lean and dry. Disappointing again. But the most embarrassing was the tasteless coleslaw. When a restaurant can’t even nail a simple side dish as coleslaw you know that the kitchen staff has given up. The warm honest smile from the waitress was the only positive on this. Unfortunately not good enough anymore. They have a good idea as a restaurant to smoke different meats. They simply need to hire chefs that care. I wouldn’t be surprised if they close in a few months. For my part its been 3 failed attempts to have good food and they’ve under- delivered yet again. Please choose another restaurant. You’ll be happy you did."
