"As another reviewer said: way better than KFC. They have a few small tables so I chose to eat there. The pieces are so big, they have to use an elastic to hold the lid closed. I wasn't able to finish the fries with the 3-piece meal. The chicken was very tasty and not dripping with fat. I'll definitely return next time I'm in town. With a buddy, we'll try the pizza and chicken combo."

"I usually get the fried chicken, but the specials are incredible, sides are incredible, and deserts sound amazing but I've never had room to try one. I may stop by next time I'm in Nanaimo and just get desert - they sound so good!I had been following this restaurant for a while on Facebook and was very excited to try it on my first visit out the island and was not disappointed!It's a pretty low key place - order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. Tables are equipped with sauce and rolls of paper towel - everything you need!"

"Dover used to be our go-to for take-out Chinese, but the last few years have not been good. I thought we would try again, but was disappointed. The Almond Chicken was soggy, the Chow Mein was bland and dry. Most people in North Nanaimo/Dover area will go to Quality Foods for Chinese over Dover Chinese Food."

"We eat here once a week and love it. The food is excellent value and good quality. I can't find gluten, milk or peanuts and personnel always find options for me and are happy to do this (It's rare to find a...Pub that prepares so much of scratches that they are able to offer me like these). You have gluten-free rolls (free of charge), and make some Fab Dressings in the house so milk free! My favorites are their beef dip and Hawaiian burgers (without cheese), both with salad, as the frits are not boiled in separate oil, so not gluten-free. The place itself has a nice warm, friendly atmosphere and fun decor. I recommend the cranberry as a great round local pub."

"The last time I had tamales was in Los Angeles years ago! This is the only Mexican restaurant in BC that I have found serving tamales so I had to try them! I had the south-west tamale along with a bowl of tortilla soup. Both were very flavourful! My husband had a shrimp burrito with a green sauce which was also very tasty. We sat on the patio, the atmosphere and service was excellent. We will definitely come here again to try some of the other menu items."

"It's been years since I've come here, but still it's a good restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are kind, patient and attentive. Some of the food honestly changes flavor from batch to batch, but it's still overal good. We went when there was very few other people so it was a good atmosphere, but when it's full it gets a little noisy, but that is anywhere.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for working with people with food allergies."
