"During our stay in PV we often went to this buffet. It was such a big step change of Mexican on the Malecon. The staff was so kind and eager to get us everything we needed. Servings are big and definitely a great...for the price. We thought every duck we tried was spectacular. We miss buffet! I wish we could go to a place like home."

"We got up early to fly to PV and walked to the marina to get something to eat. We didn't plan on staying up to midnight. A guy in the restaurant said it was great. It did take visa and we didn't have pesos yet so that was a plus. My wife and I didn't really enjoy the food. Not a lot of flavor. It filled a void and that was about it, The service was good, but it took a long time to get the food out. It was fun watching families coming to enjoy the area and get ready to enjoy New Years."

"What a great find!! Away from the crazy loud bars and touristy spots, Eat At Davids is quiet and unassuming. Being in Puerto Vallarta for a long stretch of time, every now and then we want just some regular US home cooking. Look no further. Tonight 's specials were 1) BBQ Ribs with mac and cheese and a monster helping of cole slaw; 2) Fillet Mignon with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. There were 7 of us. 3 got ribs, 3 got steak and 1 chose the Ceasar Salad with Shrimp. As with most Mexican restaurants, meals are an ordeal and never rushed. It seemed to take longer than usual to have our orders taken by the chef and a bit of time to be served. That 's just Mexico. The wait was well worth it. My ribs were super moist, tender and tasty with an unfamiliar sauce, not like US ribs, but delicious all the same. The mac and cheese, superb! Comments from our companions were upbeat and happy, seems like everyone was thrilled with the pick and the prices are easy on the pockets. The staff is kind, efficient and professional. Someone asked if David was around...the mild mannered waiter whispered, very seriously David has died David left a fine legacy. We will return."

"If you want to throw your money down the toilet, leave hungry and have to go for tacos after, go to this place. I got the mahi mahi wrapped in banana leaves and it literally came with no sides.no side of rice, no veggie side, just the two little servings of mahi mahi. They didn’t even have bread or chips on the table while waiting for your food to make up for the price of it. The atmosphere was blah and now I understand why it was almost empty when we walked in. "Simply put, we visited during a Puerto Vallarta food tour (also excellent) during which we had a food tasting and a few days later we were looking for lunch ideas and remembered our visit. Needless to say we went back and sampled their appetizers and...the they were fantastic. Along with Margaritas and my Mahi Mahi, grilled to perfection, I’ll definitely be back to enjoy their great service and good food…….right in the middle of Bassillo Badilla I’ll be back. Craig"
