"It's very important that restaurants deliver wholesome and creative dishes to add value for their customers. Potluck Hawker Eatery delivers unique and flavourful dishes that are interesting and familiar. The vegetables aren't overcooked, the sauces aren't too sweet or too salty. Balanced and unique, I could eat here every week and walk away feeling healthy and satisfied. Loved the decorations and layout of seating. Great location and pleasant and friendly staff."

"It lives up to its claim of being a ‘gourmet grocery store’, like a giant delicatessen with a supermarket range of goods. Accordingly, it’s not the cheapest. There’s a good bakery in the morning, as well as a cafe area and a Starbucks. There is a wide range of foods to eat in or to go, including sushi, pizza, fried chicken and much else, the quality of these is somewhat variable. I can’t recommend the café’s decaff."

"This is the perfect place to go after party in downtown. They serve sandwiches, fried chicken and bubble tea and they’re open 24 hours. The place is nice. Donuts are fresh and very soft. Fried chicken is great but I find the breading a little bit salty."

"My recent visit to Honey Salt left much to be desired. I was with a group of 5 friends, as a few of them wanted to try their desserts, specifically the Society 11 layer cake.The seating arrangement was inconvenient, with a small, awkwardly placed round table in the middle of a sofa and 3 arm chairs in the bar area. I don’t know if this was the specific reservation my friend made or just what we were given. Either way I had to hold my plate in my hand or on my lap much of the time. Thank goodness we were just there for dessert and not dinner (ironically we originally intended to do dinner here but couldn’t get a reservation before 9pm). It didn’t seem overly busy when we arrived so it is rather strange, but in hindsight sight I’m glad we didn’t have dinner here.The service was disappointingly slow, and essentials like cutlery wasn’t promptly provided and I had to ask for napkins.We opted to share an assortment of desserts, and overall I found the sweetness was overwhelming (though my friends seemed to enjoy it). The brookie was excessively sweet to me, while the tiramisu and apple cheesecake, though tasty and my favorite of the bunch, included an abundance of whipped cream. The Society 11 layer party cake was massive, also overly sweet and had an odd taste. I’d say the desserts were ok, but I wouldn’t choose to order any of them again.Paying the bill proved to be another ordeal, as splitting it took an unnecessarily long time. It didn’t seem like anyone knew how to work the computer. They did get all the splits correct though.This marks my second underwhelming experience at Honey Salt, and regrettably, I won't be returning even if my friends choose to."

"Rose garden i was searching for a potluck dinner alternative, and i've decided to go with rose garden, since it's chinese food :D and true enough, chinese food is the best for take out and potlucks as well, ordered the string beans, duck, tofu and cod, and also chicken if i'm not mistaken, and everything tasted okay, definitely good, oh i do miss chinese food, but the string beans are a little bit too soft. other than that it's definitely alright, everything is where it's supposed to be, the meat was still juicy and the skin is cripsy and the saltiness is just right, and the sauce for tofu cod is awesome as well definitely like it can't go wrong with it."
