"I had the griot and I thought it was good. I got meaty pieces, not just fat and bone. However I'm not Haitian and when my Haitian sister-in-law tried it, she said it was lacking acid. It came with a good portion of rice and a side and 2 pieces offried bannann. The fried bannann was too thick, not crispy enough and not salty enough. My Haitian husband had the patties.However these patties don't look like any Haitian patty I have ever seen or tasted and we've been together almost 20 years. Theylook more like gigantic empanadas with creative fillings (like a whole boiled egg). He can't even say if they at least tastedgood because he can't get over the shock of finding a boiled egg in the filling. The service was terribly, terribly slow...andit was around 2:30 in the afternoon on a Monday."

"Good sushi places tend to start blending together and looking the same. This one stands out: it's wonderful AND unique. Come here if you want more than just the usual tuna, salmon, yellowtail, etc. Many of the pieces we had were fish we'd never heard of and they were delicious and different. Also, the chef was fun to talk to. We will be back."

"Grateful to have this restaurant open late near me. Happy Garden is super old school American Chinese in their operations and the menu, so don’t except anything too fancy or exotic. I’ve tried almost every category on the menu (appetizers, soups, chicken, beef, shrimp, Ho fun, mi fun, fried stuff), and while I feel it’s not 100% consistent, most of the time they hit the spot. If you’re particular about how something is made, they listen to special requests too. My favorites are fried wings and shrimp dishes, because i can taste the good and fresh ingredients."
