"I have mixed feelings about this place. My dining companions and I tried several different items off the brunch, lunch, and dessert menus. The Farmers Market brunch item was like a bento box, and the items were good. BLT sandwich was okay. Chorizo gravy and biscuits was too salty. Chicken pot pie was good (traditional pot pie with a fried chicken leg sticking out of it). Chicken salad made with yogurt was sweet, which wasn't expected and not preferred. Their "cronut" was decent, but not like the original in NYC. The desserts were the biggest disappointment. The coconut cream pie was the better of the group, but not something I'd order again. The brown butter banana cake had way too much frosting; flavor profile was there just unbalanced by too much frosting and too little cake. The chocolate mocha was the worst. The frosting was bland, much like eating faintly flavored, very slightly sweetened shortening. Should you dine here, definitely skip the desserts; they look much better than they taste."

"Read a lot of positive reviews about the place. Decided to visit it for brunch on an ordinary Sunday. Party of four, waited about 40 minutes to get a table. Waited about 15 minutes at the table without a single person greeting us. Waitress finally gotthere and was nice, but looked frantic and overworked. Food came relatively quick, as a matter of fact, it beat the drink Iordered, their famous bloody mary, which if you're into bitter, you'll def like. Repeat, the food beat the drink to thetable. My kids said the breakfast wasn't anything special, borderline bland. My wife got the shrimp and grits and they looklike it was a layer of oil on top. The food was definitely not worth the wait. Not to rag too much on this place, but I havehad much, much better. Don't know why this was listed best breakfast in Raleigh. It's NOT."

"New Year's Eve dinner. The menu seemed more limited than usual for choices. Server also advised that they were also out of parmesan!! Who runs out of parmesan, especially on a holiday night? Ordered the NYE cocktail, but sent it back as there was less than a couple of mouthfuls in the glass. Food was good, as usual, but overall was disappointed with the experience."

"Great Sunday brunch with friends. Seated quickly (recommend using OpenTable or other app to get on the priority waitlist) and our server was right there with menus and drink orders. The banana nut muffins are so so good. Everything was delicious. Don?tmiss the grits. Overall, good value for money and a neighborhood gem."

"My husband and I always like to go to somewhere new for dinner....our son and his girlfriend mentioned Tallgrass....so we went. The facility itself had a wonderful ambience that we initially enjoyed. Food was acceptable....spicy fried chicken and "the burger"...but, what killed the deal for us was Katie the server....consciously avoided eye contact with us when near our table....we stopped eating and finally called out "Miss!" To get her attention for refills....very arrogant....I haven't done a 12% tip in ages....but I did tonight....I hope our son and his girlfriend don't pick this place for their wedding reception!"
