"Staff was too busy singing musical karaoke from Hamilton and Rent to acknowledge us for service. Waited 30+ minutes for an order of nachos and fried mushrooms, which we never had brought to us. I had to walk down and grab our order from the kitchen. Foodwas cold to the touch by that time. Awkward environment. Will give credit to the gentleman that refunded our order but otherthan that staff was inefficient and unwilling to do their job."

"I was impressed with the decor, service, and the menu. However the food was lackluster. The chicken fried steak was poorly executed with a greasy breading that withered away from the meat and a random hunk of partially steamed broccoli that was probably thrown on the plate to add a little color. The onion rings actually weren't too bad, I would get those again. I had to laugh when they advertised their Husker burger as one of the top 10 burgers in town. Just because you use brioche and then throw on an egg doesn't mean you got something special. Go to Leadbelly across the street to have the best burgers in town.<br>

Overall, Black Oak Grill isn't bad but it needs to start packing more flavor for me to come back."
