"I’ve walked by Kwanjai Thai for years but never went in. After our first choice Roxy was closed because of staffing, we decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Very homey restaurant. I ordered the Chef Vegetarian with rice. Stir-fried mushrooms, bamboo shoot, zucchini, broccoli, baby corn, snow peas, carrots with tofu. Not too salty and a uniques taste that I couldn’t put my finger in, but very tasty. I’d definitely go again."

"This is my favorite Thai place by far because of one menu item. It’s one of those places where I’ve found my dish and can’t bring myself to order anything else! I always order the Kuay Tiew Kua Gai. It’s so savory and the textures are my favorite with the wide noodles, sautéed veggies, and plant-based egg. I’m seeing other reviews saying dishes are too sweet. I think that’s why I like this one so much, it’s more savory and umami than sweet and that’s nearly always what I’m looking for. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-15"

"Nothing, good or bad, last forever. In this case, the quality of food has seen a steep decline. Shrimp is not fresh. Garlic butter is pretty much unrecognizable. Crawfish not thoroughly cleaned. Even the corn has a plastic texture. Nothing lasts forever, including customer patronage. Good luck turning things around."

"Mostly meat and dairy in everything but there is one vegan burger on the menu. I asked and the onion ring batter contains dairy. It’s one of the only places with an easily ID’d vegan option. The burger was fine. I’d give it 3.5 stars."

"Incredible! I found this spot off of a food YouTuber that sometimes has questionable suggestions. This was not the case here. I've been here twice within 2 weeks now, which should tell you everything you need to know. The fried chicken is delicious wonderfully seasoned, juicy, and crispy. I typically prefer spicy fried chicken which is not an option here, but I didn't even miss it. They do have a large variety of hot sauces if you eat there, which is very fun. The sampler platter $20) is great for a first time visit. You get so many options a main 2 sides of your choice plus biscuit, honey butter, and grits! It was a ton of food, and I could've shared and been satisfied. The red beans and rice are a must. The flavor is complex with the smoky ham but not overbearing. We've tried a few different sandwiches as well the chicken thigh sandwich is on the wet side so maybe avoid if that bothers you. I loved it though. The chicken breast sandwich is a dryer substitute and has a completely different flavor profile with pimento cheese. You could get both and not feel they are too similar. I personally didn't love the waffle, but I think they always have a short shelf life. They start getting soggy if you don't eat them immediately.The service is great. Such a friendly, neighborhood feeling place. It's awesome to see that most of the visitors are regulars. We've already decided that Fat's will be a weekly Saturday night dinner. I'll be trying the seafood sampler next!"
