"I am from South Louisiana, and I judge my gumbo’s by how close it is to my Grandma’s. I am here to tell you, best gumbo I have ever had outside of her house(God Rest Her Soul). "First time coming here. I was excited there was a location in Houston since I missed it in New Orleans. I tried the chagrilled oysters. I thought it was kind of salty. Nothing memorable. My entree was the New Orleans medley. It contained gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice and grilled smoked sausage. On paper it sounds great but in reality it was just average. I’ve been to New Orleans so I was kind of hoping for the same flavor and quality. Service was okay. Overall it was a very mid experience. About a 2.5/5."
