"Excellent locally-owned diner. The lunch special was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I got grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes, a caesar salad, and a side of entertaining conversation with my fellow diners. It's not fancy, but it's good food for a fair price, with good service, and a friendly atmosphere. Recommended!Food: 4/5"

"Food is delicious! Stopped by because every other place had long lines and we were starving. Weren't sure what to expect but the food was amazing. There were only two servers so it was extremely hectic, but the food was brought out quick. The beignets were soft and fluffy and the omelets delicious and filled with so much seafood, we ordered three seafood omelets! The hash browns are more of breakfast potatoes but very yummy. Definitely recommend. However if you are looking for authentic gumbo or the like, this may not be the restaurant. If you want a quaint little place with yummy food then this is a must-try!"

"This place is a hidden gem. One block from the French Market. I had the Gumbo my wife had the jambalaya and our daughter had the blackened chicken sandwich. All was great. The food is a little spicy (a good spicy not really hot spicy) and you have to be 21 to enter."

"Mulate?s is just about 10 minutes walk from the Hilton Riverside. The ambience feels like the old time. We ordered the grilled trio of oysters shrimps fish as well as the BBQ shrimp. Food came out hot and tasty ? the BBQ shrimp was a little salty expected with the recipe. The wait staff was great. The band came on at 6:30 with ?southern Louisiana? style music. We really enjoyed the meal. We are glad to support and understand the difficulty of running a restaurant duringthe pandemic."

"This place was a great find. We were able to sit outside in a shaded dining area and enjoy an amazing Jazz band while we ate. Our waitress was helpful and friendly.We had the crawfish beignets, New Orleans Sampler, and Shrimp platter. All were great. The crawfish beignets were exceptional to the point that I am still thinking about them a week later.Food was pricey, but worth it."

"Our waitress was awesome. She had fun with us. She was fast and attentive as well. There was an issue with the GM and a bar employee which made us uncomfortable bc it got fairly heated. Food was great and so was the service."
