"We had a group of 6, the Friday after Thanksgiving. They were very busy. It took awhile to get a table, but well worth the wait. Everyone in our group gave the food 5 stars. The service was great. The next we are in Weatherford will visit this place again."

"Visited the Mesquite Pit for Saturday lunch. Ordered the Armadillo eggs (very tasty brisket stuffed fried jalapenos) to start, followed by st. Louis style ribs. Party also got chopped beef and pork chop. All the entrees were delicious. Of the sides, themashed potatoes, onion rings, and green beans were standouts. And the bread is delicious! Awesome atmosphere and huge portionswill not disappoint. 5/5 can't wait to return."

"Even short handed, everything was great. Place was packed early on a Saturday night. I have had boils from coast to coast, and this place rates at the top for boil flavor. Crab was cooked perfectly. Clans were tender. Shrimp was great dipped in boil sauce. The hush puppies are not too be skipped, either."
