"Pad Thai was tasteless and smelled "off" couldnt even eat it. Disappointed in what is usually constent quality from Tanuki. Shrimp Tempura sushi mushy snd tasteless as well. The lettuce in the roll had more taste thsn the rest of the roll. The Philadelphia Roll and sashimi were very good though."

"The food here is WELL worth the money. Considering the part of town it's in, I would have expected much higher prices. I was pleasantly surprised to get a larger than average portion of food for about half the price of what other places in the area charge. I got Crab Rangoon and the Kung Pao Chicken w/ Fried Rice. The Crab Rangoon was pretty good I could actually see crab meat! The fried rice is a little different but I really enjoyed it; bigger pieces of egg, not as greasy as others, and the bean sprouts and scallions were a nice addition. The Kung Pao Chicken was made with (what looked like) jalapeños which made me skeptical at first but it ended up being some of the best Kung Pao I've had; the vegetables were crisp, the sauce was perfect, and the dish was sufficiently spicy! Once again, portion size was very generous considering it was only like $5 6. Others in my family got Sesame Chicken and Pepper Steak. The carry out order was ready within 15 minutes, the lady who handled the order seemed very friendly and outgoing (rare for Chinese restaurants in my experience). Overall, I've heard that this restaurant is more of an authentic take on Northeastern Chinese cuisine. I personally enjoyed it very much, but those who are less adventurous and want more Americanized fare might think it's just OK. The prices are very low compared to other places in the area, but the portion size is definitely generous. I will definitely be going back for more!"

"We bought a house very close, hoped it was good, and it was. some, if not the best Asian food we had here since our movement. better than average safe. more like the old school style. we have spring rolls, cheese vines and two ducks with roasted rice egg rolls. a sesame chicken and a kung pao chicken. both were great. they were very nice."

"Great! I have the Tropical Island. Had tuna, crab, asparagus, avocado and then I added white carrots. I have one side of the sharp Mayo. My stay at home Friday night! I'm definitely back!"

"Service is usually fast. The staff however, is pretty rude. I tried their chicken lo mein which was the best I ever had. Next time I ordered it, the food wasn't nearly as good. I think they are overpriced!I spoke to man that was ordering some sort of steak dish. I asked him how the steak was and he said you never know, a lot of times my dogs get it ! Needless to say there's food quality is inconsistent."
