"That is cheap and cheerful. There's nothing exciting here. the garlic pans are large, the roasted rice is salty and gloopy. it is hot and tasty, and if they are too tired to cook and can not again face pizza, it does the job. it is a person operation, so in busy nights it can wait a bit."

"Loved the food here. We tried the potato and onion quiche for dinner, we liked it so much we came back for another one. Also bought cottage pies and a variety mini pastries. Wow! I would highly recommend this patisserie to anyone visiting Cairns."

"I was initially put off the name soy boy, was a mental thing on my part. I'm so glad I didn't judge a restaurant by it's name and not give them a go. One word for the food: exquisite One word for portions: generous One word for presentation: gorgeous Three words to seal the deal: value for money. Soy boy is the closest thing to fine Asian dining in Cairns. The owners have decided to take a homely approach and it certainly feels that way. Expect great service, water that you never have to ask to be refilled. Attentive service with wait staff ready to mobilize at any given moment. Food that starts a party in your taste buds when they hit the tongue. Praise alone is insufficient to do soy boy justice. Try them, go for the food, stay for the hospitality."

"After being turned down twice as they were too full to take more bookings, we finally managed to get a booking the other day. And i can definitely say it was absolutely worth the wait. The food is super delicious. Not too fancy but nice decor and friendly staff. Loved it and had a great experience. Highly recommended. Will be back again."
