"I have been eating at and ordering takeout from China Garden for several years. I used to go to Jia Jia Lok but I've found China Garden to be better (food, service, atomosphere). The lunch menu has a lot of variety and is a good...value. For dinner and takeout, I tend to order their yeung chow fried rice as it is my fave dish bbq pork, shrimp, veggies... It has a light flavour and not overly greasy. The eggplant with hot garlic sauce, the e fu noodles and the spicy bean curd with hot sauce (ma po tofu) are also great. If you like wonton soup, there's also shrimp in it which makes it a nice fuller dumpling. If you want to spoil yourself, get the fried squid with spicy salt. Unlike other Chinese restaurants, their squid is not greasy. It's salty so it will have you craving steamed rice but the onions, peppers and the spicy flavour is great. The owner is always there when I go and he is friendly. I appreciate that this place takes debit and credit unlike some Chinese restaurants. If you're looking for the chicken balls and chop suey kind of Chinese place, this place has it but you should really take the time to try their more authentic dishes. You will be pleasantly surprised!"

"Everyone is friendly. Best to call ahead and book food for pickup as it is very popular and therefore busy at times. Usually do take out. Love their sesame chicken!"

"Amazing restaurant. I've been coming here for over 7 years. I recommend the crispy chili chicken (boneless), griddle pork intestine, braised lamb noodle soup, griddle with your choice of meats/vegetables, mapo tofu, beef fried rice noodle, steamed pork belly. There's many great dishes here, give it a try!"

"A few days ago I was craving some Korean food, because I had just finished my exams. I decided to treat myself by going to The Famous OWL of Minerva! The food here is amazing and definitely a must go if you’re ever in the mood for some authentic Korean food. I ended up ordering some Kimchi Fried Rice stir fried kimchi with rice, assorted veggies topped off with a perfect sunny side up egg and DalkChulPan spicy stir fried chicken severed on a sizzling hot plate. The ambience of the restaurant itself was quite homely making the food even more enjoyable! All in all this is one of my go to comfort food restaurants. Check it out! "This spot is my favorite in the Waterloo region for South Asian food and culture. The dine in area is clean, appropriate lightening, excellent seating, and has a classy look to it. The employees there are easy going, caring, and nice folks. I tend to order Chicken Korma and Rasmalai for desert, hands down best in town. If your looking for a nice restaurant to go to on a date night or with family and friends while eating quality South Asia food, this is the spot."

"I have been here a few times. The service is average. The buffet is on the small side but it has all the usual favorites. Sometimes less is more. Food is consistently decent. Price is fair for what you get. If you want a decent no flash just food buffet, then stop here!"
