"Dog-friendly veranda, but you have to walk at the end of the building. Great shrimp pack. Could have used a little more spices. I added a little hot sauce and it was great. Filled with shrimp. I annoyed her. Fish Tacos good! Super friendly and great waiting staff."

"Dinner was really good some if the best blackened tilapia I've had. My husband and son had gator tail and they enjoyed it. Really laid back environment. Service was pretty good waitress was nice."

"Doordashed breakfast from here and it was a huge mistake. Nothing was edible. 'Blueberry Pancakes ' consisted of over cooked plain, rubbery pancakes topped with shriveled, borderline rotten blueberries. French toast was absolutely rancid tasting. Called to discuss and was met with very nonchalant attitude of 'I don 't know why they would be rushing, ain 't nobody in here 'Save yourself a bad experience and find another breakfast place."

"Me and my friends were excited to take a stop after not eating anything the day before, we had a sever named Dilma who did not acknowledge us for approx 15 minutes after being sat. I’m assuming because she has some prejudice agains black people. I have never been treated such a way my entire life. She had an attitude all throughout. After we ordered the person after us received their food before we did. She saw black people and assumed she was not getting tipped but why would we when we were judged the moment we got sat. If you’re a POC and receive Dilma as your server ask for a different one."

"When we first moved up, we were not sure where the restaurant was. There is no real shield to say where the entrance is. Once we found and entered it, we found a kind of sports bar seafood snack restaurant. Quite exactly what you would expect from Mudcat Charlie. We sat on the inside porch and did not expect too much from the menu: fried, grilled or darkened options for fish, shrimp, scallops, etc. Again your typical seafood snack menu. But when I asked what the grilled fish was, something local was told to me. I can't remember what it was called, but it was definitely caught in local waters, as I've never heard. When it arrived, it was nicely seasoned on a soft hoagie role, with homemade tartaric acid and cocktail sauce for diving. It also came with very fresh Romaine and fresh tomatoes. I'm looking forward to going back to find out what it was so I can order it again. If you are in the Brunswick region and have some time for wonderful fresh seafood, take a trip to Mudcat Charlie's. You will not be disappointed!"

"My sister and I were passing through on our way back to NC. We stubbled on this restaurant. I will be making a trip back here. Omg the food was amazing great country flavors. So much to choose from and the peach cobbler was amazing. Our waitress Linda was funny and we loved how she had great customer service. Can't wait to eat here again."
