"I was here a week ago because I worked with the Army Natonal Guard at the border mission. The host could quickly get a seat and our waitress got us ice-cold beers. A great culinary experience. Beautiful and friendly waitress, cold beer and hot delicious wings. I'll be back. Thanks Hooters Downtown Dallas!"

"Christmas eve dinners for a family of 15 and they were able to join us all in the last minute, like the place we reserve months before decided to close this evening. mariana was sweet and very understanding of our predicament. service was the best of all time. we have spent a period of 45 minutes from various locals and our server has arrived to us all immediately and was attentive to our orders and special requests. I wouldn't have asked better. the mariachis were funny, not too loud or intrusiw. with the solemn atmosphere that is so wonderful there. Drinks and eating were delicious. I got the off menu thunfisch and while it was clear not sushi grade, it was cooked so that I felt safe. beautiful taste with a hot sauce that made the dish. the rindertacos were a bit dirty in the meat season department, which could easily be changed on a second trip. plus many delicious salsas to water the tacos. we were the last to go and appreciate that everything is so friendly. we'll be back!"

"Some things never change, like the solid seafood offerings at S&D! We love the shrimp salad, seafood rolls, and hushpuppies. And no visit is complete without the delicious lemon pie! A serving of quirky but efficient service is always included with your meal. Our server was teasingly surly, which was entertaining for us...it might not be to others. The atmosphere is always loud and bustling, even on a cold and rainy evening. It's good to know that some Dallas institutions live on... We're so happy that S&D is still around for us to count on for a great meal!"
