"My first visit there, but I had read the reviews and was a little sceptical. Yes, the decor was low budget plastic and the disposable plates were still the usual for Covid, but the food was very good. No better fried shrimp and oysters. Everything was cooked to order and hot from the fryer. I think some previous reviewers were expecting Captain D's prices for very good seafood. I will definitely be going back when I want good seafood."

"Another restaurant suffering the same problem that many others do. The food was fine and in some cases above average, but the people side of the business needed some work. There are too many choices of where to eat for me to accept being talked down to and basically unappreciated."

"After ordering, we were informed that the cook grilled the wrong type of steak for one of our orders and in correcting the mistake our other order was burned on the grill. So, one of us got what we ordered and one of us got what the cook made on mistake. Both entrees were just ok. Not worth the two hour drive we made nor the $120 bill for two people that was paid. We will not return."
