"Ume Burger is one of a row of food outlets at Barangaroo. The outlets each have a seating area out front, facing the walkway and the water. Order and pay up front at the counter, then find a spot to sit with your order number...on a small wooden box. Seating is outside, protected by umbrellas and warmed by outdoor heaters as needed. The overall effect is noisy and fun, a sort of upmarket food court. Patrons don 't linger over their meals ... in fact, at busy times, prospective diners use the staring method to encourage people who 've finished eating to move on and free up the space! Ume Burger has a limited menu of half a dozen or so burgers, including meat, fish and vegetarian options, with sides like Japanese fried chicken, chips, and onion rings. When I visited they had a special Ebi (prawn) burger. They 've got a small but interesting selection of wine, beer and cider, along with house made sodas, whiskey and sake. I ordered the Ebi burger, chips, and a couple of sauces on the side (Japanese mayo and curry mayo). The Ebi burger was a crumbed prawn patty with katsu (curry) sauce, shredded lettuce, and a toasted bun. The chips are delicious, crispy and with lots of seasoning. Both sauces were tasty Japanese mayo (Kewpie brand is often available in our house) is slightly sweet, and the curry mayo was a moreish blend of the mayo with katsu sauce. Food was freshly cooked and delicious. The only issue is that the wooden box table numbers are hard for the servers to see ... our burgers did a bit of a tour before arriving with us! But that is literally the only fault I can pick. Hubby had the Ume Burger, their signature burger with a beef pattie and wagyu sauce. He declared it fabulous. I can 't comment because he wouldn 't let me have any! Early lunch (11.30 ish) or mid afternoon (3 5 pm) are good times to visit. Enjoy."

"The menu had some vegan snack options and 2 main sown noodles and a fable mushroom burger and even a dessert. I just ordered the noodles and although it really tasted good, the portion size was tiny not worth $26 in my opinion. The burger saw much more worth the money, but I didn't order it, I also got the $39 2 hours down without frost. There were 9 flavors and they lubricated quite well, but were not strong at all. Would you just recommend if you don't want to tap and just try a lot of taste. It is a really beautiful place on the roof of Barangaroo great for pictures! Updated by previous rating on 2022 03 29"
