"Why do people own or work in the restaurant trade if you don’t like people ? We sat down at around 1345hrs and looked at the menus. The waiter/manager came over and when I asked (in French) whether it was possible for food he replied sharply....”no fini, food stops at 2 o’clock!” (Hint take the food menus from the tables when you want to shut the kitchen) I asked if we could have a drink and he said yes but then didn’t take our order and turned away. We waited patiently for him to return and take our order but he ignored our attempts at eye contact. After waiting for 15 minutes he did not return to our table and instead proceeded to clear plates from other people, at that point we got up and left. We weren’t the only ones to receive that treatment and raised eyebrows from those eating said it all must be nice to be able to turn customers away. We went down to the cafe below the chateau (balade gourmond) across the cross road. Very friendly nice sandwich and a soft drink for €5"
