"Reading good reviews about breakfast I was looking forward to a treat. Boy, was I disappointed. Prices seem to have increased so looking at £11.50 for a full English from £9.50. Unfortunately standards have sunk as the prices have escalated. My wife had the mushrooms on toast as the only healthy breakfast available but the toast had been badly burnt on one side and the charcoal side turned face down to hide it with a measly spread of a mushroom sauce on top, not nice. The full English was little better with blond undercooked sausages, cheap ingredients, a stone cold ramekin of beans and toast without butter. Accompanied by two capuccinos that that tasted like warm milk with a chocolate sprinkle. Mentioned all this to the eldest lady behind the counter who looked in charge and received the usual look of horror when an English person has the temerity to complain. She blamed the Saturday girls who were training apparently. Final fob off was that next time we come back we should mention our complaint for a possible discount. She refused to give her name when I said this was an unnaceptable response this is the true mark of the guilty. Shall not be going back ever again to test the discounted bad food offer as we both know readers, don't we? That this promise would be broken anyway."

"We have been having pizza from here for over 10 years. We have also thoroughly enjoyed them and recommended them but tonight it was absolutely awful. Not only has the price gone up by 20%, but the quality of the toppings have dropped I was told the price had gone up due to food prices increasing. The toppings were sloppy looking like the frozen pepper and mushrooms supermarkets sell. The cheese was not stringy like normal but very greasy and solid. Waste of £21 it went in the bin."

"We were a group of 8 celebrating a special lunch. We needed to amend our booking time no issue at all. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. 1 man in particular was really attentive… I think the owner? Our dishes were delicious and 2 ordered the steaks which were cooked exactly to their liking. We will definitely be returning!"

"What a great pub! family and dog friendly. nick and shell, rental and rental very friendly and very friendly, staff are also great. only in a few times as new in the opposite but already made as a regular feeling we will be in any case. large selection of ales, lagators, ghosts and eating is excellent. in any case recommend Sunday dinner, best I had in a long time. if they love their sport, they have sky and BT sports, so they don't miss anything. the view from the beer garden over the fields of construction and the church in the background is beautiful. they keep regularly events, peer-proof, BBQ,s and live music and Bouncy-slee for the children, the lee vasey band was a night to remember, the morning not so good, hang! if it is a friendly local pub, they are after this place! my only fault is that nod the renter is a track fan! trust me, you can't go wrong here. ps. if their name is brand, they will be right to insert, never have been at a place where literally every brand is called: mark donna (carleton rod)"
