"The queue can sometimes be lengthy, in which they take your order and ask you to pay, and then you have to wait a long time to get your food. On other days, service is very swift. So I guess it depends on what times you go. The fries are good, the homemade tartar sauce is nice. The vegan stoverij -sauce is dominated by the celery. Which ... makes it unique, but I don 't know if that 's a good thing."

"The Taberna Brasserie Bridge is one of the most famous and recommended restaurants in Ghent. It is located in Sint-Baafsplein Square, next to the Cathedral and the Dutch NTG Theatre. The local is not very large, but has a very nice terrace on the square. What to eat in this brasserie? Its varied menu is based on the typical dishes of Belgian gastronomy, so to inaugurate my first day in Flanders, I could not resist to try the famous mussels accompanied by fries. The season is from July to February, and you could ask the natural, with white wine and celery, or with garlic and cream. I ordered the mussels to the white wine and what was my surprise when they brought me a decay with almost a kilo of mussels, and a great source of crispy fries with two kinds of sauces (rosa and mahonesa). It was impossible to finish everything, so it is not necessary to order an incoming or a first dish. They also have pasta dishes, toasts, salads, meats and fish. The price of this brasserie is not cheap, about 18-20€ the dish, but you have to bear in mind that it is in one of the most touristic squares of the city. They also have menus from 22€."

"T'puntzakje is a typical freidury famous for such sausages and fries. the place is tiny, although it has two floors: the ground floor is occupied by the bar and the iron (where it is cooked at the time), and on the upper floor there is a small dining room is a fast food establishment, where you can eat snacks, hot dogs, mora punks and burgers at a very economical price. "Very nice Irish pub. Vriendin staff, reasonable priced food. For every type of dish (salads, pies, burgers) there is both a vegan and a vegetarian option, which I think is just great! Only thing that misses is a vegan dessert."
