"Disclaimer: I’m from Sydney and have great expectations and standards for my Kebabs. I was pleased and impressed with the kebab and chips. While it’s not Brothers Kebab, it’s still damn good for Noosa. The bloke running the shop looks like a honest, hard working family man. Respect to him, he pumped out kebabs so quick and with a smile."

"Have now been 3 times, thinking at first maybe we just got a bad day but we have decided that all 3 visits have not been good. It is such a shame as we love the venue, the setting is beautiful, in the restaurant and the bar area and we want to support local but the food has to be good too. Our first visit we did the 2 course lunch with wine and coffee and yes value for money if the food was good but the temperature schnapps was mediocre to say this least, the batter was anything but tempura and the fish was average, as for the white rice wrapped in wombok a waste of time, no flavour there either. Nest time had the pappardelle with duck and this was nice but luke warm, by the time I was half way through it was cold. I would have sent it back but it took so long to arrive my partner was half way through hers so did not want to wait longer. Last week tried the bar menu and would not do that again, very average for a chef to present. Any person in the kitchen could have made up the San choy bau, chopped up cucumber, handful of mint, coriander,rice the eggplant mixture with nuoc cham. This nuoc cham tasted exactly like sweet Chili sauce from a bottle nothing like nuoc cham should taste. I may try the restaurant one more time if/when the menu changes but not while this present menu is on, too limiting and have tried a number of dishes and the only one I would have again is the pappardelle. For a well known chef to put his name to the dishes on this menu should really try items from the menu himself and decide if they are worthy of putting his name to. I have spoken to a few people who have been here and they have thought the same but a lot of people do not like to voice their concerns but they do not go back to the restaurant either. On the occasions we have been the restaurant is nearly empty with staff wandering around everywhere, this venue should be buzzing every day with such a wonderful relaxing ambiance, such a shame about the food."

"We had had Samba grill recommended to us and i looked on TripAdvisor and every raved about it,so as we were in Noosa we thought we try it. Well we got the $28 meal each which included 3 meats, which were yummy and a choice of 3 sides, there wasn't many sides to choose from. I choose a cabbage like coleslaw, rice, thought it would be fancy,but only white rice and chips. Very basic meal, not impressed at all. would never go back."

"Just ate a perfectly cooked sirloin and the wife had a great set of ribs !! Great feel to this place, with a high balcony that over looks the strip. Tables are way too small and you can't fill them with many extras, but on the whole I recommend this place and would come back !!"

"Had a lunch as a "Jazz Infusion" event as part of Noosa Alive. The setting by the river is superb so an afternoon of jazz, food and wine is very tantalising. Always difficult to delivery quality to a large gathering but the team at Wood Fire pulled it off admirably.While the lamb shoulder is not my normal preferred dish, it is a signature dish of the restaurant and very suitable for such a group format."

"We stopped in for some light refreshment and enjoyed a nice cocktail and amber ale along with some very nice chicken drumsticks. Had to give their mystery flight a try and host came back with a scotch, indian and irish, thoroughly enjoyed the variety. Overall...great experience."
