"Urban Turban has delicious Indian food, a quaint (semi-cheesy) interior, and a staff that is the kindest. A special shout out to some of my favourite dishes: the Shahi Paneer Korma, the Shrimp Pakora app, and the fresh house-made naan bread (it's amazing). Urban Turban has a family-run vibe (I do not know if it is actually run by the same family) and I find this brings about a positive calmness - it's nice to slow down after work and eat a relaxed meal with friends/family. However, this doesn't mean service is slow, quite the contrary the service is speedy and attentive. The food is always freshly cooked so it can take a few minutes but is always worth the short wait. I've eaten here about ten times and look forward to the next ten."

"The dining room is old world, and the staff very attentive. The menu is very extensive, something for all tastes. I would recommend this restaurant as a special spot for a date night, or a special occasion. Always great!"

"Great spot for brunch and lunch with a broad and inventive menu. Of concern is the fact that for holidays such as Father's Day when they advertise special menus to draw in more diners the service is always subpar delays, mistaken orders etc. The food is always excellent, but there are never enough service staff on hand and all those present seem overwhelmed. Absent these service issues for holidays I still recommend this spot for brunch and weekday lunch because of the fantastic food."

"Annual birthday celebration at a restaurant we haven’t visited before. We sat out on the patio as the inside seemed pretty smoky. It was a very hot day but slight breeze made it quite pleasant. Our server was very pleasant can’t remember her name ...and the food was good. We ordered two of the day’s special which was a fillet,shrimp, scallop and asparagus and a salad. Other two orders were baby back ribs with baked potato and salmon with mash potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal. All in all I would say that the food was delicious"

"I had the five course chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing. From the start it was clear the team was invested in us and this experience. Jason and his team were so passionate about each dish. It was clear the chefs put so much thought...and care into each dish. The platings were works of art, the descriptions masterful, the parings perfection. I have dined at this restaurant many times, but this was beyond any culinary experience I have had in Ottawa. I highly recommend this!!"
