"The view of Lake Champlain from the restaurant deck is as good as ever. However the food has declined (since last year), while prices have significantly increased. Chairs replaced, since last year, although attractive in appearance, were not stable & too low. This uncomfortable sitting position of having each diners' behind below their knees, also makes it difficult to stand up.My wife's main course of shrimp pasta arrived cold. The request of a new hot serving was instead met with the reheated plate of now sticky pasta. My main course course of bavette de veal (@ $28 a la carte for lunch) was so tough that a serrated steak knife could not cut it straight through, but was required to cut on the bias (i.e. sideways very thinly) . The results were chewing only small morsels. My appetiser of escargots was a large portion & good. Our friends both ordered raviolis which were excellent, & made us regret that we did not order the same. Homemade dessert of chocolate cake was excellent, but the lemon meringue pie was tasteless & dry (almost stale). Coffee was very good & replenished often. Service was good throughout. Wine was outrageously priced for poor quality wines (e.g. 1L vin ordinaire @ $42). Also most of the wines listed are now local wines of the region, with only a very limited selection of imports. Food was also priced extremely high with ordinary pasta (e.g. raviolis a la carte) at almost $20/plate for lunch at an ordinary low quality restaurant, We all agreed that we would not return."
