"We were directed to this place by a local. We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. There was a little difficulty with the ordering, as we don't speak much French, and the waitress didn't speak much English. We ended up ordering the special, which seemed to have lots of courses. First was a vegetable soup, which was quite good. Next was a pizza, also good. And finally, there was a simple dessert (cake with fruit) and coffee. Not a bad deal for $13. The down side of this place is that it is right on the main road and is quite noisy. If we went there again, we would probably eat inside."

"North of montebello past parc omega, a little out of the way but worth the trip. at the corner of rte 323 and st-julie right in the curve. a really small place decorated like a cabin in the tropics. the owner and his wife work the restaurant by themselves. creole kitchen is what is served. simple really good food such as spicy hamburgers, chicken, fried plantain and black bean rice are some of the choices one has. a few tables inside as well as several tables outside in the shade. far from fancy but with decorations from there travels and music from Cuba, Haiti and d.r. its a nice change from the typical fast food joint."
