"We enjoy visiting this cafe at lunchtime for a laid-back meal - not hard work here. We have been there a few times. Previous visit we had the starter of assiette of cold meats followed by chevre chaud and steak frites. All beautifully cooked and full of taste. On our last visit we wanted something light and chose ham omelettes and frites (natch!). The omelette was cooked very well.Their meals, enjoyed with a carafe of wine or a cold beer, are excellent value for money.The cafe has an adjacent car park. Or why not drive down Allee de Coreilhes to the Dordogne, park beside the river, go for a walk to build an appetite, then return to gentle cafe.When Ste Foy is bustling, and the square is too busy, this is where the French have their lunch.We're going back!"

"De passage à ste Foy, j'ai comme d'habitude regardé sur tripadvisor ou nous pouvions manger... ce resto ne présentais que des avis très positifs. C'est donc confiants que nous avons franchis le pas porte... la déco est moderne et l'ambiance familiale. Nous avons feuilleter le menus et avons été surpris des tarifs très abordables. J'ai choisi une entrecôte pour 13,90 euros je crois... sur le conseil de la patronne. La viande qui m'a été servie était d'une taille impressionnante et répondant à mes attentes en terme de cuisson. L'accompagnement était composé de frites de patates normales et de patate douce... très original et savoureux... j'ai également pris une bière mexicaine pour moins de 3 euros ... le repas terminé j'étais repus mais très satisfait d'avoir trouver un endroit comme celui ci... merci tripadvisor..."

"I use this place a lot, to enjoy a reasonably priced beer a chat with a few of the locals. George, the owner, speaks excellent English and is always very welcoming. Sitting outside you can watch the world go by while you haw a drink or enjoy a meal."

"This restaurant has been here for a number of years and has a diverse and varied menu. We came for the lunch and had the formule; two plats for around E13.00 plus drinks. The entree of charcoute in a home-made, perfectly seasoned and piquant sauce was the pick of the menu. The main of roti de boeuf was overcooked and came with frites and salad. But not frites as you and I and most the French know them. The frites - and there was a lot of them - were wedges of a waxy potato and hence, were not crisp and too glutinous to be pleasant. Our other plat was a crumbed chicken dish that was cooked well but came with the same frites and salad. Attentive and quick service and just a little cheaper than the new competition next door. I don't want to be too critical of this restaurant because it is three years since we tested the lengthy menu. But the lunch formule fell well short of what we have come to expect of restaurants around here."
