"Booked a table for 5 adults and 4 children at 7pm on a Thursday night. Just as well as some unlucky clients got turned away. Traditional fare and atmosphere in an historic setting for D DAY buffs. Opposite the church and a small green that provide limited on street parking the eatery is a must find, if in the area. Limited menu but delicious flavours. Kids even managed with the junior offerings. For adults, moules, duck, lamb , omelette and spicy burgers. Local deux cider at 2% is a drivers delight. Desserts are all home made and works of art and tastes. Early evening flies were a little annoying but soon left, unlike us who stayed without being rushed. Throughly recommended."

"Invited to dinner at this quite good campsite--we had a quick look around the site before going in to the restaurant and bar--well set-out, tidy, clean, quality camping accommodation, whether tent pitches or chalets/mobile home type. I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant which is light and airy enough, pleasantly decorated and clean. Aperitif; 3 of us had kir, on had sparkling wine, one beer and one fruit juice. All good there. Service good and friendly, jovial. As we all wanted moules-frites, we did not bother with a starter. Only concern was that we had to wait a long time and the restaurant was not that busy--however, the local mussel-seller is just up the road and I suspected that the moules were bought fresh form there to order! It was worth waiting for; the mussels were plump, juicy and delicious in Camembert or cream sauce. The frites were good, properly cooked, not overdone and not from frozen. The portions of mussels were more than adequate, we could have done with more frites, but in the end it was good. The pizzas and meals on neighbouring tables looked appetising and we look forward to going back to try other dishes, given the quality of the mussels and frites we had. Service; young, seasonal staff, so service was according to training and experience, but good, very friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Prices; very reasonable for what we had. I cannot say for the other meals, however. I would recommend this for families, couples, groups--anyone, in fact. It is not gastronomic, but very good for a well-priced and comfortable meal out."

"My husband and I stopped here at around 3:30 pm on a weekday to get a snack before visiting the beach. We were ignored for 20 minutes. We finally caught the waiters attention and were told that the kitchen was closed (even though the menu...indicated otherwise) The waiter offered us one sandwich off the menu, which we accepted. All around us others were being serve hot food. Luck of the draw... Avoid this place and take a picnic to Utah beach."

"The setting is the gorgeous French countryside, and the restaurant is part of a converted manor house that serves as a hotel. We had a wonderful three-course meal served by courteous, friendly staff and would highly recommend adding this to a tour of Normandy. My fish was cooked perfectly and the desserts were to die for!"

"I’m walking round Normandy and staying for a Sunday night in Ste Marie du Mont. This was the only place open on a Sunday evening The food was not cheap but was excellent quality. I had Gambas as a starter and then a fish choucroute....Beautiful as was the dessert. I was concerned they might only have expensive wines but they do carafes as well."
