"I wandered in here for the lunch special displayed on the board. It was priced right and read well. The staff were courteous and friendly and the service quick and efficient. I had a Gourmet Chicken Burger with fries and aoli. All super tasty and a great tasting large coffee all for a spectacular price considering this is city. The venue is grungy and old school in feel but works. The place is a cafe by day and a bar with entertainment by night. Feels like Newtown in Sydney to me which is another place that feels homely for its rough but friendly edge. Highly recommended! I will definitely be coming back."

"I dined at Skillogalee recently to celebrate my Mum's birthday. When we arrived they had made an error regarding the number of people in our group (we booked for and they had us down as which they immediately acted as though this...was completely our fault (it wasn't) and it would be a huge imposition to add extra seats to our table. It took a long time to get the extra seats sorted out so people were standing awkwardly waiting for chairs. Service stayed poor for the rest of our lunch. The food was great, for the prices I would expect much better service than what we got. We struggled to get anyone's attention to order drinks, and then when we did order drinks we had to follow up as they took a really long time to come out. We didn't have drinks until we had almost finished our mains, and then I had to go inside to find a waitress to order dessert from, as we had to get to another cellar door booking. One of the ladies who served us was lovely, the others seemed to really dislike us for no reason and were very rude any time we asked a question (eg when I asked for bread rolls as they didn't bring one to everyone on the table). It was almost comical. There are much better places to eat in the Clare Valley, that actually want you there, so I suggest avoiding Skillogalee for the time being."

"Homestyle persian restaurant serves generous healthy meals. enjoyed the dives to begin, but would have been better with persian brot instead of the simple cold pita. my aubergine dish was delicious with rice a beside salad. comfortable service"

"We weren't sure which of the tasty options to go for, so Terry the host/manager suggested we have a bespoke breakfast of spanakopita, poached eggs, avocado and hollandaise. It was beautiful, the coffee is superb, there were so many items on the menu I wanted to try, I'll back again soon. Price wise, it was good, not cheap, but certainly not expensive for the service and high quality of food delivered. Having said that, there are cheaper options with a great deal ten dollar pita meal deal. Highly recommended"
