"We were krafft to a lunch in the restaurant. despite the rather small selection (which is to be welcomed in principle) everyone found something after their taste. In particular, the meat-kÃ1⁄4lein and the teigwaren and the mini dessert with a coffee, which also finds itself in the magenta after two generously sized courses. only the service was a little slow, but friendly."

"Florentine, our waitress was incredible with perfect English. our table was next to a log fire with settees on two sides. the place was full of laughing and cheering. we had high expectations, because there should be a work function and I phoned specifically to ask if I could bring a coop vegan fondue to not feel left out. I was told that the chef works on a recipe. the work function was canceled because of covid and so my man and I tried it. we were blown away. the texture and taste were shockingly good. we started with an orange, ingwer and suppengöttin. salat as second cure with delicious vegan dressing. the selection of fondues was simple, truffle and chili. it is eating all they want and since the fondue Cashew nuts based there was no saturated fat. what? healthy fondue?! go there, but book them months in advance if they want a Friday or Saturday. the restaurant is only opened in winter so perfect after skiing. the ambiente is as much as a "pre ski chalet." there were large and small groups such a real mix. two birthdays were so happy last night. a certain of daniel and me."

"The restaurant looks promising, has an accommodating map. Unfortunately, the service is inattentive and the meat was served us lukewarm on not properly preheated tellers. after complaint, the teller was only placed under the grill so that the supplements dried.As apologies we were offered a dessert. Unfortunately, the attention of the cheffin was only one of the neighbours with their friends. for this price class this must not happen.Not recommended!"

"You need to stop at tram stop Dreirosenbrücke (tram 1, 14, 8) and walk 15 meters with the Dreirosenbrücke (the bridge) behind you. Once you pass the crossroads, you stay on the left side near the BASF/Novartis building and the Marathon restaurant is just there. The owner who happened to be the manager is very cordial and with zero pretention and willing to provide you sound advice. I had the Marathon special with my friend/colleague and you can fill your belly at CHF 65 for two people, which is a very competitive price for Basel. At the end of the large plate you will have fried lamb with the Ethiopian flat “humid” bread. I strongly advise people willing to taste Ethiopian food to try it. This is my third Ethiopian restaurant and the best. The place opened 3 months ago and do not worry about the empty seats soon it will be full."
