"A large hotel complex, centrally located on the Dammtor. The staff is very friendly and ensures the well-being of the guests. It is particularly striking that this upscale hotel is family owned. The staff radiates a friendly, collegial way that can be immediately felt. The rooms are flooded with light and impresses with modern facilities. No matter what time of day you stay at the hotel, it is constantly clean and well maintained. The reception is open 24h and also the location at the dam gate is very comfortable. You can walk in about 10 minutes at the Jungfernstieg and inland-outlets."

"Due to the fact that Meyer Lanskys has become my Hamburg favorite cocktail bar on the goose market, St. Paul Killi (see photos). He was once invented at the first Hamburger Meyer Lansky at Pinnasberg, where the “Christiansen – Fine Drinks Cocktails” are now living. The goose market version tastes best for me. The home recipe offers six varieties of rum, apricot brandy, grenadin, lemon, lime, orange, maracuja, where the fruit juice content is rather homeopathic. Number one of my personal cocktail tops! The killer is one of the cocktails that cost 5.70 euros during the Happy Hour (daily until 8:00). Exceptions are only some particularly violent balls, such as Clockwork Orange. The rich mix of rum, gin, vodka, Tequila, Campari, Martini, Cointreau, Apricot Brandy, Orange-Bitter, Grenadine, Lemon, Lime Juice, Maracuja, Orange is correspondingly spatey, but still delicious. Or, as one of the mixers once said: “Since half the bar is in it, we are surprised how balanced the taste is.” I usually focus on rum cocktails as well as sporadic Singapore Slings and Margaritas, where Meyer Lansky's 100% meets my taste. Cocktail companions who have other favorites were always happy. The bar at the Gänsemarkt also scores for me because it plays in the interior mostly very appealing 80s radio and disco music and also serves free Nibbles during the Happy Hour. Another advantage is the beautiful and top-fitted staff of the bar. This is also true for my time as a regular guest: a friend who had reordered Meyer Lansky's cocktail cry for years at her first visit, brought the same waiter by three months later, with her next time a skewer with cocktail rings unquestioned. She must have left a lasting impression. I made a lot of trouble for a while. The first St. Pauli Killer is usually a short time after I arrived at the table without having to order it. Whether this is a pre- or downside for you, you have to decide: Meyer Lansky is a smoker business. In summer this is less annoying for non-smokers, you can sit outside. The next week, the fuller she gets in Meyer Lanskys. Especially on Thursday the seats at tables and bar are already occupied early (between 17.30 and 6:00), a pre-order is recommended for safety. It should be clear that Meyer Lanskys can be loud and loud. For a lasy date the shop is of approx. Wednesday is therefore less suitable."

"After our walk through the old town of hamburg it was time for a rest on a terrace at the border of the Alstersee. we found a nice table in this radiant restaurant/beach with boat rental. a very friendly waitress came to our order, a lemon / mint fruit juice and a plate with waffel, vanilla ice cream, hot cries and cream. 5/5. we pass a nice hour in the sun, which is staring over the water, to the many sailboats and water bikes. a good place to pamper yourself and the guests with a drink, snack or even a simple meal for a past."

"We're just stoping for a night and booked this through lastminute.com at a great price. It's a bit outside the centre so not much to do but this is okay for us as we're just stopping by. Parking is free so that's a great bonus....We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which had good service once we called someone out from the kitchen. I think we where the first guest for the evening. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular and a bit overpriced for what it was but our waiter Jan was great and very attentive. They have a great terrace but sadly it was a bit too cold to use it. We didn't book breakfast since we thought 19euro per person was a bit expensive. Had dinner been better we might have been persuaded. The rooms are a bit dated but the bathroom is very clean and the view over the racecourse is a great bonus. Strangely our room was set up for one despite booking for two with one small cover on the double bed and one set of towels. We called for extra and it was delivered to the room without any problems. At around 11.30pm we started hearing loud dripping from the air con. We tried turning it off several times but it just got worse so at ten past midnight we asked to change rooms. I phoned reception who first wanted to try to turn the unit off from there but since it was already off it didn't work. The receptionist said he did not know what to do, I offered that he could come up and listen or to send someone else but he said he knew what it was like. I found this a bit frustrating since it tells me it's a re accruing problem. I told him we could not sleep with this noise and he offered us a room a few doors down. This was fine but with a 4 star rating I would expect someone to bring us the new key when we change room in the middle of the night but we had to go and get it from the reception. This room was also set up for one so we took our extra cover and towels from our old room. All in all so far it's been okay so far but I would have hoped for a bit better service from the front desk. Maybe they will change my mind tomorrow at check out but for now it definitely disturbed my sleep."
