"Centrally located hotel with very long history. The rooms are not very cheap (e.g. 118 euros), but modern and tastefully decorated. There is a cozy lounge with internet corner, leather chairs and snuggly carpets. Very nice also the roof terrace with basket furniture and Mediterranean ambience and the almost free-floating above the still heavily traveled post square. The breakfast room is well furnished (blue carpet, lots of wood) and offers the perfect interior for a lush breakfast with fresh rolls, fresh fruit salad, cereals, cheese plate, egg dishes."

"This is already a strange phenomenon: all places – on urban waste roads, on former Brachland, in redesigned village amidst – are cleverly arranged branches of bakery confectionery café conglomerates from the ground. Where there was apparently no need before, the homely furnished localities are now filled with young mothers who spend the mornings while drinking coffee, or with hungry pensioners at the lunch table or with all car charges from craftsmen on assembly tour. The family-owned company Raisch, located in Calw, is currently expanding very strongly and defends its area successfully against the also highly aspiring Platzhirsche Sehne and Wanner. Nevertheless, I am surprised to find a new location in Raisch at the Dagersheimer Hauptstrasse. Where the local post was formerly located, a new building complex residing with bank, pharmacy, doctor, Raisch branch etc. pp. There is plenty of free parking before – especially important at this point. On the way back from a rural appointment, in the late morning I'm in a bleeding tiredness. Time for a coffee break. At Raisch attracts as a current offer: every hot drink as you choose for 1.85 euros. I choose a large coffee that can be consumed in a large cup, a cardboard cup or a Recup cup. At the self-service counter there is a flashy cleanliness and I am kindly served. By 11:30, the “Muntermacher Breakfast Buffet” stands 7.90 euros, without drinks and offers a very tasty looking potpourri of various baked goods, jam, ham and salami, salmon and cheese, agitator, fruit salad and yogurt, greenery. Everything very attractively presented and optimally illuminated. There are two daily changing lunches for 6,90 Euro/ 7,90 Euro. I decided to test today's offer: Cordon Bleu pork, roasted potatoes, and small mixed salad for 7.90 euros. The self-service counter is upgraded at the point half twelve. The portions are lush and impressive. The Cordon Bleu covered with plentiful panade, the roast potatoes well browned and not too fat, on the salad buffet you can use well eight different salads yourself. All in all appealing mainstream for hungry mauls, however no culinary revelation also does not have to, for this price and the possible limited possibilities of the kitchen. A look at the weekly plan shows further pleasing arrangements at a reasonable price: beef gulash, filled pork belly, noodle pan with mushrooms and vegetables, cratch noodles with peasant sausage, salmon sauce in white wine. All with a supplemental salad. Almost you forget the original offer of baked goods, cakes and cakes. Matthias Raisch may even call himself “Brot-Sommelier”. Whatever that is. “What kind of bread would you recommend to this fresh cheese?” The service is of open friendliness, but sometimes still has something unhappy and clumsy. As I learn, the locality was only opened in July – perhaps there is still a period of incorporation... The ambience resembles a huge, chic dining room with hip furniture and first-class lighting. There is probably a lot of money and an ambitious interior designer behind it. The toilets are also very appealing and well maintained. The clientele forms the whole range from random customer to local regular customers and duz friends. As you have met in earlier times at the village fountain or at the church, you sit here at the Cappuccino. Become an interesting sociological study."

"As part of a business breakfast, I was invited to Mercure Böblingen. The house has been known to me for a long time, but it is easily accessible by car at the edge of the industrial area Hulb, between furniture store Gamerdinger and shopping market Real. Okay, the location is not particularly picturesque, but the hotel is characterized, for example, by the largest outdoor pool in the Stuttgart area and has enough parking space, including special women's and disabled parking spaces. From the outside the building is quite unspectacular: it is practical and expediently cut without special architectural buckling tastes. It has the Visions restaurant, where you can take both lunch and dinner, as well as a bar-bistro and several spacious conference rooms that are almost all named after the name of company founders (e.g. Bill Hewlett or Dave Packard or William Moog . Both the building itself and the individual rooms and the toilets can be easily and comfortably accessible. The welcome by the Mercure team was marked by routined and professional friendliness. One speaks several languages and immediately tries to answer questions or be helpful. The generous wardrobe offers enough space and the duck looks amazingly bright and welcoming. Although a new building is created directly in the garden, I did not experience any impairment by Baularm. The interior is decorated in warm, worn colours – rather in American style. The rooms are mostly designed with low-floor carpeting. We sat with a group of perhaps 40 people at very bright and friendly covered large round tables in comfortable free swingers. To the immaculate white tablecloth there were red napkins as an eye-catcher and discreet table decorations. We were able to operate at the buffet, which offered all the warm and cold specialties awaited by an upscale brunch. It was self-service. Transport routes are generous, nowhere is it narrow or difficult to access. On a well-placed full coffee machine, you can choose among the usual coffee specialties: cafe cream, espresso, cappuccino etc. Despite the otherwise very appealing and friendly dishes, the somewhat loaded, quite heavy cappuccinates were unpleasant to me. Also, the cereal bowls were almost too big and massive, considering that they still have their own food to be transported to the table. Among the hot dishes I chose a fine, not too dry scrambled eggs, to which I took freshly cut parsley. In addition, warm mushrooms and very tasty little pancakes, which can be picked up with a sweet coat (diverse jams, various dry fruit, almond leaflets, etc. or with a pungent coat. The crisp sausages (so on mustard or ketchup in portion bags I did not try, but they looked delicious on the plates of my table neighbors. I also found particularly great ayuervedic bonds with warm cereal and fruit, as well as small Actimel bottles, which were almost taken as a dessertation by the health conscious. Gorgeously fresh also the arrangement of tomato with mozzarella in Balsamicosauce, the crisp cucumber slices, the aromatic black olives, the wide range of different sausage meats and cheeses. There is absolute cleanliness on the counters, no place to spot or stickers. If there's something going down, it'll be set up immediately. This works very quickly and reliably, because the kitchen is directly next to it and the staff reacts with a view and speed. Also at the tables used dishes are quickly removed. As a small manoeuvre, I can only say that the already ready-made welcome coffee, waiting for us in thermospots, was rather mischievous and rather cold to lukewarm. You should have acted a little closer. The Mercure Böblingen is very suitable for business appointments, business dinners, conferences and conferences – with international audiences. It is conveniently located and offers well-known standards that are also known from other destinations."
