"My husband and I stopped at the Vegan Cottage for lunch, and regretted not stopping by earlier during our holiday in Barbados. It was not long after we walked in and seated ourselves that the owner herself, Augustina, warmly greeted us, asked questions regarding our food preferences, and followed up by bringing us each a plate with a surprising variety of local, well-seasoned, vegan food. From pasta, to homemade patties, lentils, rice, garbanzo beans, couscous, a bit of salad with fruit, and even a plantain, her plates offer a great variety with lots of local-inspired dishes and flavors to try. Overall, the portion sizes were good, the prices were about 25BBDs a person, which included a muffin for dessert, and a delicious mango fruit drink, and the service and hospitality were excellent. It was our first time at her Vegan Cottage, but Augustina made us feel like family. Her place is on Google maps, so download the offline Barbados Google map, so next time you're in the area, you can be sure to call in advance, and definitely stop by and see her."

"My husband and I had dinner here while in Barbados a couple of weeks ago. We mostly ate budget and cooked while we were in the country, but we wanted a nice night out for Valentine's Day. The view was just spectacular. We ordered a vegan pizza, a vegan salad, and split plantains. Everything was wonderful, as were the drinks. Staff was very friendly and I thanked them for offering vegan options--I definitely would recommend."

"I am here twice now and I love it absolutely! they are based on the corner of the grill place on the side of the road with a few other food providers, so if they travel in a group, there will be something for everyone. the opening hours/days vary, so follow them on instagram to check if they are open on the day they want it. I have brought some of them if I have a beach day and it was perfect. there are so many cheap places in holetown, but apple crate is brilliant because the locals eat there and its much more affordable. they have rotis and burgers etc. on the menu, but every day they have a special and, trust me, that is special what they want! these gals know what they do! I had the salad/Pikkle bowl with soy sauces and it was so refreshing and healthy and also, above all, filling! They are portions are a good size so that a meal per person is perfect. they also have all juices and will do whatever they want, so if they don't exactly see what they want on the menu, then they will whip up what they want for them. highly recommended to go to the apple crate when they are in holetown, only on the road of limegrove, past the fruit / kokosnuss seller."

"There were a few small plates and a few power supplies. You could lose the impossible burger and replace it with a homemade vegetable burger. Delicious Veg Curry. Good part."

"Very smooth and relaxing water, the waves are very gentle and flap. The beach floor is very soft and sandy with some stains corals. A great beach for the family to enjoy and play with children."

"We booked the hotel on a recommendation of a friend who has travelled extensively. We were not disappointed. Location on the beach is very good. Food is excellent. Rooms are superior and recently renovated. Staff are very courteous and professional. Clientele is predominantly British though other countries are represented. Prices are 1/3 of the highest level hotels like Fairmont. Weather is 29⁰F on average in March and always a nice breeze. Nothing disappointed us. Had a great time."

"Eat here twice on our stay, also for cocktails aborted. The staff is friendly and helpful, I love the entrance of the restaurant, looks the business. Food has been good every time, well seasoned and delicious, no complaints at all. Would recommend."

"The best food here so far and we have tried some of the local places. We had rice and peas, 2x stir roasted veg, French fries, bread fruit, 2x curtain, sweet potato cake and a bank, 34 barbados for all. Everything was delicious."

"Loved this cozy spot. The decor is lovely...a complete homage to the nautical. The staff was great and accommodating. And the was shareums platter was surprising filling for an appetizer (i recommend only sharing with persons maximum). From the art on the wall to drinks i enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be going again. *drift is in the higher price range fyi"
